I really think we need to get over the idea of a 'First 11' we play over 60 games a year most years, no one player should have to play that many games.

It was Eric Manasse, his agent. Though his brother acts as his agent in certain matters he has more than one. He posted a message on Facebook earlier saying that he was sad to hear of the death and offering his condolences to the Manasse family. My French is pretty poor, but I don't think he mentioned retiring at all.

Only teams playing in the Europa league have their games moved to Sunday if the game isn't already chosen for TV. Wednesday to saturday is relatively normal for teams competing on a lot of fronts, Thursday to Saturday is a bit of a push.

I would look to Paulo Ferreira to answer this question. He stayed for a long time, despite not playing much the last few years. He always acted professionally and never once complained about his lot. Also reading some things recently about Carvalha and Ballack, it seems that we inspire a loyalty at Chelsea.

This is the most pertinent point. It's not one or two isolated incidents, it's a running theme throughout his career. He won't be able to get away with them as he has done in the past any more. Referees will scrutinise everything he does on the pitch, the slightest incident and we've lost a player for three games. We can't afford a player that is banned so much, no matter how good he is when he is playing.

Because staying at Southampton in the short term is a good idea for his career and why not make a little more money? To be honest, we don't know if there are any release clauses in there. It's obvious Southampton would want to tie him in for longer because if the time comes when he wants to leave they can command a bigger fee.

Have to agree on this. I am a fan of Fellaini, and wouldn't have minded him at Chelsea, but if we were to play him in Mikel's position he would bring exactly the same limitations as Mikel does. As it is for players of Fellaini's type, we're set. Mikel may be the one player we can all see could be upgraded, but that doesn't mean he doesn't do his job well. I'm always confident that whilst he may not do anything special on a game to game basis, he will do what's needed of him in the critical moments. And yes, he makes mistakes, but if anybody can point me out the perfect player and I'll buy whatever drugs you're on too.

For some reason I get the feeling Kalas is going to have a good year, make a bit of a name for himself in a blue shirt. No idea why though.
