Interesting article in this mornings guradians sport section with carlo saying that players such as Gaël Kakuta, Jeffrey Bruma, Nemanja Matic, Fabio Borini and Patrick van Aanholt, will be getting a lot of first team chances next season which probably spells the end of Juliano Belletti, Michael Ballack, Deco and Joe Cole, according to the article. I agree with whats said in they story apart from joe cole leaving or losing his place bu tit would be great to see a few young players come through and impress, although id like to see jack Cork in ballacks position as hes palying a good level at turf moor and is getting good reviews

The question is, what does " lot of first team chances". Does it mean some of them will getting a chance to take a place in the starting eleven or will they only get chances in cup games against lower sides?

I personally can't see us suddenly using players like Kakuta, Bruma and Van Aanholt in most games. More games than this season, yes, but nothing spectacular.

And as for Joey I've heard that there's rumours of him leaving (together with Ballack and Deco), but I think we should keep him. Give him another chance. He was out for a very long time and has struggled to come back, but lately he has put in a few good performances.

Anyway, I think this summer will be a very interesting one. I would not be surprised if quite a few players left and a couple of big names coming in.

Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.
