The trouble is that only those readers who know him will ’get it’ while the rest will treat the piece as a completely honest appraisal, thereby supposing him to be a bit of a Chelsea fan. Still, Barry likes to please his ‘get it’ brigade whenever he can and if we Chelsea fans receive the benefit when it backfires occasionally, like it does here, I suppose we mustn’t grumble.
