Posted August 4, 201113 yr Chelsea Pensioners and Erskine Veterans to lead out the teams on Saturday Ex-Servicemen from north and south of the border will be guests of honour at Ibrox. Eight residents of the famous Royal Chelsea and Erskine Hospitals - four from each establishment - will lead out Rangers and Chelsea for the the friendly game on Saturday. They will then watch the game from the Directors Box as honoured guests of both clubs. The Rangers Supporters Trust were pleased to announce their football team would be playing a benefit match against Chelsea fans in aid of Erskine Hospital and The Chelsea Pensioners. The game at the Ibrox Complex, across from the stadium, kicks off at 10am with a £2 donation towards the causes for admission. Once Chelsea and Rangers officials got to hear of the game they were eager to help and subsequently both Mr Abramovich and Mr Whyte adopted the visit as a personal project to get the veterans to Glasgow and to host them at the game. The Wee Rangers Club have kindly sponsored the game and will be delighted to have the veterans visit the club before the game ahead of their official reception inside Ibrox. Well done to the fans and the directors for working together to make this such a special event and cement the relationship between the two clubs.

Most Excellent this happening .... will be great for the pensioners to get an idea of how their sacrifices have been appreciated
August 4, 201113 yr Author Most Excellent this happening .... will be great for the pensioners to get an idea of how their sacrifices have been appreciated the RSEA - Rangers Supporters Erskine Appeal was formed by some Rangers fans in 2007 to raise funds for the Erskine Home (an institution similar to the Royal Chelsea Hospital) near Ibrox. There intention was to raise a grand for the home Their total now stands at £275,000 in just 4 years - this is purely fan based and is not a club initiative In November 2010 upon reading of the RCH being Robbed of Poppy Cans the RSEA set up a raffle and auction and sent down a Cheque for £1500 to help compensate for the stolen money As stated above Rangers Supporters Trust, Chelsea Vs Rangers Fan match and function in the Wee Rangers Club prior to the BIG game at Ibrox will be used to further Fundraise for both institutions The Pensioners and the Erskine Vets will have the day of their lives at Ibrox on Saturday Later this year a charity Single is to be released by Buster Bloodvessell It is called Ska for Heroes and will benefit H4H, Erskine and the RCH Edited August 4, 201113 yr by Russell_Nash
