That supporters club was the real deal..Used to buy my coach tickets from there when not traveling away by car or train..Great little place..Saw the bloke who used to be one of the guys who ran coaches only last year gainst spunks..He was "aged" in the early 1970s, but hadnt seemed to change one bit.in nearly 40 years..(and) it was nice he remembered me

Yes went to a few discos in the new East Stand, managed to get on the pitch at about 11 PM to take pretend penalties at the Shed end along with a few others.

Re old supporters club also used to get coach and match tickets from "Arthur Meadows" think thats what his name, also used to go on the Coaches sometimes. Brimstone did you do the coach to Blackpool with the supporters club mid Seventies with Rangers on our side and Celtic on the other?, brain has suddenly clicked into gear on a few points.

Different world then, when the supporters club existed to help supporters, and therefore the players on the pitch, instead of being just another tool to fleece us for our last pennies. Used to love going on the old supporters club coaches as we could get on at the Davis coaches depot in Mitcham before heading off to the Bridge, so we always had the back seat, unless the older lot evicted us that is.

Remember goin to Blackpool in 70s..Then , it was we were all in the same end (blackpool n chelsea),partitioned by a huge metal fence down the middle....(but no) i must admit i cant recall the rangers celtic thing on THAT day..

Went to many a game on those wonderful coaches...Used to meet up with a group of chelsea girls quite often who were regulars..You may remember them on the coaches..one was ginger one was short with short black hair.Oh just recalled the ginger one was JAN...Were u on the coaches when we went (i think) to stoke. We stopped off at a motorway place and er um lets just say bumped into leeds fans..Remember meeting for a coach there for a night match at southampton..Went to the pub earlier n bumped into ossie n hutch having a swift one...Wonderful nostalgic days..Forgive me if i send no replies for a few days,, on hol to weymouth

p.s...looked thru my box of nostalgia n found a photo of ginger jan n myself dancing at the east stand disco ..I was an ugly so nso but laughed at how slim i was n envious at all the hair i once had...When i get back ill ask my son to post it ..Hopefully ginger jan is not married to a 7 ft millwall fan now...

Jan rings a very faint bell. Although I could well be thinking of a different Jan. Anyone remember Frankie and Nikki, two girls from Harrow who used to go home and away, usually on the special? They moved from Harrow to Maida Vale, sharing a flat with another girl. I lost touch with them towards the end of the '70s but heard that Frankie had married some bloke from South East London.

Not me! Probably a 7ft Millwall fan.

Well if that's the case, all I can say is lucky 7ft Millwall fan.

They were both really nice girls. Nikki was blonde, Frankie had kind of dark reddish dyed hair, but later dyed it black.
