I'm all for discussion but I do get a bit peeved when, during every major tournament, we have all these different threads created because "Player X from Country Y had a great game and we need to sign him immediately!". Maybe it will be different this year since we seem to have our shopping list already made up, but I remembered for WC2010 we made a thread to comment on random players (I think). I was thinking about doing that again, but was wondering what forum I should put it in: Football or Rumours? Obviously, it fits in better in Football, but Rumours would be the forum where new users tend to go and post their wish lists, so maybe the thread being in there could deter those types of posts.

I know it's not a big deal, but I like having discussions contained in specific threads instead of all over the place. Was just looking for feedback on the idea.

Maybe I was wrong and we didn't do that for the World Cup, but I thought we did. If we haven't done it before, there's no need for me to start a Euro one I guess.

There is a long 'random rumours' thread in rumours, is this what you mean?

Oh good, now i know where to articulate my glee that Harry Redknapp may be leaving Tottscum, their most successful manager in 50,000 years... :-)

The Shed End Forum relies on revenue to pay for hosting and upgrades. While we try to keep adverts as unobtrusive as possible, we need to show these to make sure we can stay online and continue to keep the forum running. Over the years costs have become very high.

Could you please allow adverts on this domain by switching it off and whitelisting the website? Some of the advert banners can actually be closed to avoid interference with your experience on The Shed End.

If you don't want to view any adverts while logged in and using your account, consider using the Ad-Free Subscription which is renewable every year. To buy a subscription, log in to your account and click the link under the Newbies forum on the home page.

Cheers now!
