If the ground is expanded to 60k seating or whatever, how would Chelsea go about the application for new season ticket memberships?

 

Would it work on points from the previous season, or previous seasonS?

 

Or some kind of lottery?

 

Obviously noone would have a definite answer but what did chelsea do last time they expanded?  what did arsenal do when they built the emerites stadium and what are liverpool going to do as this could lead to shedding some clues on how it will go down.

We already have a process in place namely loyalty points gained in the previous season. Cant think of any reason why they would adopt any other approach

 

But one thing to be aware of is that  input from Hammersmith & Fulham Council included a recommendation that  to enable income from ticket sales to be maximised the number of season tickets  should  not be increased in line with the current ratio.

Oh...Is the ground being expanded then?....i missed that.

this is my biggest issue I have with the club that you get no recognition or award for how long you have held a season ticket . Really pisses me off that a new season ticket holder that season has exactly the same level of points at the start of each season as someone who has renewed for years .

 

When the West Stand re-opened Season Ticket Holders were given first refusal if they wanted to change seats to the West Stand or stay where they were  , not 100% sure but think it was down to where you sat as to who got first choice i.e. East Stand Middle tier had first choice then Eats stand Upper then MHU etc.

Chelsea have recently commissioned new reports on expanding over the district line and are in talks with the borough.

 

It's generally a good idea to prepare for things before they happen especially if the case is you need to have points from a previous season.

As I said they are currently conducting studies so nothing is anywhere near final.
