New on here and it won't let me post this in the Tickets & Travel so thought I'd stick it on here.

We are travelling by car to the Sunderland game (live in the Midlands).

Can anyone advise the best place to park ? Is there any pubs anyone can recommend ?

Hello mate, we tend to park near one of the metro stations, head into Newcastle first for a few beers then over to the SOL in time for ko. Centurion bar at Newcastle Station is good for some real ale but there's plenty of pubs near the station if that doesnt float yer boat. Day Travelcard on the metro is £3.10 I think from memory. Good luck!

We went last year and parked in an industrial estate which gave a free park and ride service to away fans, it was fab they dropped you outside the ground and then back to your car after for free and the buses were every few minutes.

Yep! Sold out almost immediately. Tickets subbed by a tenner and a tenner on the bus or train; so it bloody well should!
