  1. Exactly. Being head coach of a country would be the obvious route.
  2. Anyone going to the first leg on Monday night. Three of us heading up there...
  3. I was born in Tooting but moved to Sidcup as a nipper. The old chap used to take me to home games in the late 60's. When my folks seperated I moved to near Nottingham (where my Mum was from). So my teenage years were spent as pretty much the only Chelsea fan in a school dominated by Derby (who were flying high in Div1) and Forest (who were with us in Div2). I then found two other Chelsea fans locally and we started going to away games. That was 76/77 season. Not being old enough to get into pubs we just pitched up at the grounds, supported our team and cleared off afterwards. Some great memories. Plymouth, Bristol Rovers, Blackburn, Forest and Wolves stick in my mind especially.
  4. Largely depends how old your Father is, or looks! If he is, or appears to be an oap you should be fine as there's no price differential for a Senior or a Junior ticket in East Lower Family section. So I think the tickets are the same, but it's a while since I bought both Senior and Junior tickets at the same time (I've taken my Dad and Son previously) If your Father is clearly not of Senior age then you may have problems because you're not supposed to be able to buy Adult tickets without a Concession ticket in the group. So strictly speaking you're not in accordance with the rules. Talking to the box office might land you in hot water. Good luck with sorting it out
  5. Yep! Sold out almost immediately. Tickets subbed by a tenner and a tenner on the bus or train; so it bloody well should!
  6. Hello mate, we tend to park near one of the metro stations, head into Newcastle first for a few beers then over to the SOL in time for ko. Centurion bar at Newcastle Station is good for some real ale but there's plenty of pubs near the station if that doesnt float yer boat. Day Travelcard on the metro is £3.10 I think from memory. Good luck!
  7. Was thinking exactly that meself. Hoping for a minutes silence pre match. Remember he's from up that way....end of the minute; big rendition of "Johnny Neal's Blue n White Army" would be a fitting tribute
  8. Yes, they got all the help they deserved from some outrageous refereeing decisions, media bias etc etc and finished with a champions league spot. Good for the media luvvies to salivate over for the next year... Jamie Redknapp's face was a picture with the post match discussion. Shame yer mate slipped eh Jamie? St Steven still without the medal he "deserves". Lol!
  9. What? 25 years plus a week.... Had Leicester not spoilt the party then you might've got a point.
