I was wondering if anybody could give me advice on if there is much point in buying a ticket membership.

I would only be using it for one home game and some of the more northern away games.

The first game I will be attending will be Newcastle away, does anybody have any idea the possible chance of getting a tivket for this if I have no previous points?

I tried to post in ticket section but I assume you need a certain amount of posts before I can post in there.

As far as I know, away tickets are more difficult to get than home as they go to members of the away scheme first, then season ticket holders.  It depends on the allocation of course and I don't know how many we get for Newcastle but I would think that no away tickets ever go on general sale so you won't get one through Chelsea without at least being a member.  Someone else may be able to confirm this or tell me I'm wrong.

 

Similarly for home games - PL matchs very rarely go on general sale - you'd get CL group and probably other cup games without membership though.  Even to get tickets on the exchange you have to be a member.

 

Is there a specific home game you were thinking of?  Because for any of the big games you'd need loyalty points as well as membership.

Yep as Beerqueen says getting away tickets is not easy at all .

The only bit of advice I can give is try and become a member of the CFC supporters club, if there is one, in your area.

Nothing is guaranteed but Supporters Clubs have preferential contact at the club which may be beneficial to you

To be a member of the local Supporters' Club you have to be a Chelsea member but Terraloon's right, they get preferential tickets for home games and they'd arrange a coach down for a pretty good price too.
