Any one remember playing SAAP (sick as a parrot) or ultimate soccer manager?

My first manager game was champ manager 91/92 i think on PC. My mates dad had it. You could only go conference teams. We always went runcorn.

The CM97/98 game got a whole podcast episode on it on The Deeplying Podcast recently. Was interesting

The version that allowed the UK and European leagues was brilliant! and who can forget the edit feature - TMDATA, if I remember correctly?

 

Oh, and who can forget every single time you started again fresh - Bobby Gould to go?

Champ man 01/02 was my favourite. Still play it to this day every so often, they don't make em like that anymore.

The last one I played (probably going back about 10 years ago now) it was well over-complicated, nowhere near as fun as the old ones.

I had 97/98. Good times. Funny now to think that back in the early days you had to buy a new disc to get foreign leagues. :D
