Essien on sub's bench

Just heard on TalkSport that Michael Essien is "likely to play some part in tonight's Champion's League second leg clash, having returned from injury".

Haven't found any confirmation of this yet. Hopefully there'll be more news later.

Essien on sub's bench

But why only on the subs bench. I think he may start tonight, but hopefully not as right back.

I thnk I should have put a question mark after the subject. Hopefully you're right, that he'll be fit enough to start tonight, and to play the whole game, back in midfield where he belongs, and where he's most effective.
