Posted May 13, 200718 yr Sometimes it is good not to win titles as it sorts out the wheat from the chaff amongst our supporters - we ditch all the Johnny-come-latelies who tag on to teams that win trophies like half of the United and Liverpool "fans" you hear from these days - at times of adversity just remember games in 1982 against Swansea or Shrewsbury or Scarborough away in the league cup.
May 15, 200718 yr We may not have won the title but you can't say we've not been "successful". It is unlikely that fans, even the JCL's as you put it, would ditch us that quickly. We're still one of the best clubs in the world and still "on the up". Cheers, Butch
May 23, 200718 yr Even now people on boards across the world are writing "I had forgotten how much I hated Man Utd". We have fallen short at a good good time.
