Which football sites (and papers) do you believe are the most reliable, and which ones do you think are dodgy? As in, if you read a rumour in X you believe it. But if the same rumour first appeared in Y, you'd think it was a load of old bolloxs?

Ofcourse the most reliable websites are the clubs' official sites, but you probably won't find rumours on those sites. The websites which I have a hard time believing are Tribal Football and pretty much all of the sites that are centered around football rumours. You can pretty much tell the quality of the site by looking at the site and if it looks cheap, they will probably publish any rumour they hear, read or can come up with. I mean, if they're not bothered to create a good looking site, why would they bother making any research into the rumours they hear or even create.

BBC used to be quite a reliable site especially when you stay clear of their rumour section which is basically a collection of headlines from rags like Daily Mail and Sun. Sky's website seems to filter out the most ridiculous rumours, but you still need to look at who they quote and what their sources are to decide how credible a rumour is. Well I do that for all the rumours I read anyway.

I don't read the English papers in paper form...well I've bought the Times sometimes after a big Chelsea win(easily available in Finland), but that's it.

The sad fact is you cannot trust a single British newspaper, tabloid or broadsheet. All season every single one has said the Jose WILL be sacked this season, not MIGHT or IS IN DANGER OF BEING. Just last weekend the Observer stated categorically that Robben will sign for Bayern once hargreaves had left them. They all present rumour and speculation as fact, so you cannot read a single article without wondering whether they've just made something up.

Websites are no different.

I actually had a er .. conversation with some bloke very recently, who insisted that the prime motivation of the British media was to present facts in a clear and objective manner ...

Funny that, he seemed reasonably sane otherwise.
