mid-day today, for some reason, i got a strong urging to change my avatar. mostly to support my local club team (Portland Timbers, in the midst of an epic playoff run). as you can see off to the left, i got rid of my old avatar, which happened to be a picture of Jose. thinking i wanted a fresh change all around, i also removed the same Jose avatar from the Timbers message board and replaced it with the animated one of Joe Cole scoring against the Mancs (which I shamelessly stole from Scott/MadMac).

an hour later, i'm driving home, and a friend texts me with the breaking news.

sorry, Jose. my bad.
