the thing with this 6+5 rule is clubs will get round it by bringing in as much young talent as possible, which will give english lads even less chance of getting through. as usual its a knee jerk from uefa and will not work. plus im sure its illegal. isnt their an emplyment rule that wll stop this?

You can not stop the "movement of workers between EU states", however you can do what you wish with non-EU citizens.

In Italy they have restricted it to only one non-EU signing per season, and this has greatly decreased the amount of foreigners in their league.

I hope something is done, and am proud of the fact that the ECL final with us and Man U had so many Englishmen. If all teams are like Arsenal with one native, then whats the point?

The Shed End Forum relies on revenue to pay for hosting and upgrades. While we try to keep adverts as unobtrusive as possible without pop ups, we need to run ad's to make sure we can stay online and continue to keep the forum up, as over the years costs have become very high.

Could you please allow adverts on this domain by switching it off. Some of the advert banners can actually be closed to avoid interferance of your experience on The Shed End.

Cheers now!

Sure, let me in!
