Guest
Hi all, Just a gut feel here, I have no newspaper articles to back this one up. Wenger has said he has money to spend is ready to spend it, I got the feeling we may just see him make a big bid for Benzema (a player Wenger is known to admire). I haven't seen Benzema play, but based on what i've heard, he is someone i'd really really not like to see joining the Gooners. PS. I had the same gut feel about Malouda well before we were seriously linked with him.

g3.7
ben arfa is the one from lyon wenger hads openly declared interest in, and he's still trying to finalise the nasri deal. the kind of money needed to prise benzema would be incredible, and though he might just about have it, wenger doesn't like spending big sums one individual players. TomP
Arsenal either can't or won't spend seriously big money on a player. I think that 15-20 mil is about as far as they are going to strech for any one player this season if Fabregas stays. So, that counts them out of the likes of Ribery (who they were very much in for when he was at Marseille and 10 million cheaper) and Benzema. Guest
I know Wenger is shy about spending big money on players, but he's made alot of comments this time around suggesting he really is planning to splash some cash (still probably small fish compared to us, but I do expect at least one big signing to be made).
