Now that the big flare up regarding Lamps and Kenyon has hit the papers - whether he wants to stay or go seems to be about money. With us commoners worrying that petrol is up a few pence or cents these top footballers are earning millions per year.

Is it unreasonable for them to want parity with their teamates when they are already earning ridiculous amounts? Is it fair? Is another 100,000 a year going to make any difference to their already opulent life? Does it sicken you?

Yes it's the same with sportsmen around the world, and actors, etc etc.

There is no going backwards but it just seems unreal.

Lauren, my thoughts on this are already in the Lamps thread. Maybe these could be merged?

Mine too

Mine too. I seem to be in the minority, but his apparent greed absolutely sickens me. I know he's not alone, but especially in the current economic climate it seems insensitive, selfish and greedy in the extreme.
