Oh yeah, Darren.... Marcus isnt as good? Sorry, I am not that big a Charlton fan!!! I think that Drogba and Sheva could work out brilliantly but I am still doubting Drogba and his performances. I am not going to forget that he was a lazy git for many games last season and only made it up in the last 6 games or so of the season. However, if he is on song then I think it could be a good move. I would have much preferred to see Crespo and Sheva play together in Chelsea shirts........! I think we can probably make the most out of the players that we have, we have a couple of new players who may surprise us and be challenging Drogba for his place.......!

Gem, I have said before that we should buy a striker that is used to the Premiership, etc, instead of a player from another league who will undoubtedly take a season or so to settle in to the way of things. I am not sure about Dean Ashton, he isnt a bad player. There is a distinct lack of available, English striker talent. Apart from Wayne Rooney or a fit Michael Owen, I do not think anyone else cuts the mustard to play for Chelsea. I did like one of the Bent's at Charlton (can't remember which one though!) and thought that he would do well on the end of balls from Joey and Robben, etc. But, saying all that, I do not see Jose ever 'lowering' himself to strikers that have not been involved in league winning / europe winning sides. We shall see though. I do think we need someone else as, in my opinion, we have available one of the world's best striker, Shevchenko, who may / may not fit in to the Premiership with ease, a striker who is known to be incredibly lazy and doesnt play every game with 100% commitment and a striker that we are not familiar with at all! Something is wrong about that and I think Crespo should have stayed for the opposite of the above reasons.

Which Chelsea Manager Had / Has the Best Eye for Talent?
I originally voted for Ruud - he brought in some of the best players that have ever graced our club! If I am right, Zola was voted Chelsea's best ever player? On the other hand, if you look at the players that Ranieri brought in, you see the great names and you know the difference that a lot of them have made - two Premiership titles for a start! All managers have brought in good players, I am not 100% sure about Hoddle's iffy lot - that Joe Sheerin plays for AFC Wimbledon now and STILL goes on about the fact that he played for Chelsea (albeit for one game for 30 seconds!).

Buy A. Cole - Yes or No?
I say a strong no for all the reasons that have been listed on this forum loads of times. I personally think that Wayne Bridge is more than good enough to be our first choice week in, week out. He has played well on his loan spell to Fulham and I saw him against Charlton in our Carling Cup game last season and I thought he looked good! As for what Yogic has said re. Jose's trust in him. That means jack to me as he did not trust Joe Cole to start with when the majority of us could see the amazing player in him, he relegated Eidur from a great striker to a miserable midfielder when we all knew he could do better. Also he continued to play Drogba when many of us were screaming out for him to be sat on the bench or playing in reserves!!!

Highest Goal Scorer this season??
Its got to be our Sheva. I love the way there is no Drogba on that list......!

Ashley Cole ????
Fair enough Loz, it is all starting to make sense now! I couldnt bear to see that non entity in a Chelsea shirt!!!

Ashley Cole ????
Why would we need Titus Bramble?!

Ashley Cole ????
You are having a laugh. There is no way that Bridge should have gone to Fulham on loan, let alone totally leave Chelsea. I saw him against Charlton in our one and only Carling Cup game last season and he looked pretty good for someone that had been off injured for months. This is one thing that pisses me off with Jose - he dismissed Joe Cole for months and played Duff and Robben which annoyed me immensly, plus he pretty much encouraged Eidur to leave (I know people agree/disagree about Eidur) and has now - if these rumours are true - pushed Wayne Bridge out the door. Why?! He is a brilliant player with great potential. He deserves to stay with a top premiership club, it would be an outrage if he went to those dirty Spurs. It just cannot happen. There is a distinct lack of talented English players and I think we should hold on to the ones that we have instead of maybe just buying 'names' for credability.

Ashley Cole ????
Out of Cole and Roberto Carlos I would have to go for Cole. I am not a great fan of his plus Roberto Carlos must be 33 / 34 by now and definitely not worth whatever amount he would cost. I would prefer to have Wayne Bridge though...........
