  1. It is difficult to draw parallels across the generations, in former years the game had harder challenges and was played on bogs for most of the year. These days by and large they play on carpets but I would say the game is much quicker physically and mentally. But so far as the rest of this season is concerned we have a maximum of 10 and a minimum of 9 games to play, as much as possible our best players have to play as many of these games as possible. They dont have to train as such between matches warm downs and massages should be the order of the day but to paraphrase JFK "Ask not what your club can do for you - ask what you can do for your club" should be the mentality of the players for those remaining games.
  2. I would start the team that finished against City on Sunday, lets worry about players perhaps getting injured or tired when they are injured and tired. For the moment we are in a scramble and Spurs are showing some signs of cracking, if we can win tonight and Sunday then I think it will become too much for Spurs (who I expect to lose to City). I dont see why we should worry about other teams, the only side we have left to play that are on a par with us is ManU. So why not just play our best team as often as possible these lads are fit so look after them between games and they will be fine.
  3. We really need a win tonight and if we attack we will but it seems that is not the way our interim plays it. Odds he will put out a weaker team to keep what he sees as the first team for Anfield (I am assuming he will really want to win there). If he does I really can't see us winning so why not try be radical play your strongest side and make changes when the game is yours. The second halfs against ManU and ManC were excellent why not from the start by way of a change. If we can beat Fulham I think we will squeeze top four lose and will be beyond us I think.
  4. Hi folks and greetings from across the Irish Sea. My name is Daniel and have been a blue since 1970 (yes I am that old) when I lived in West London. Have odd colour clashes being an avid blue and also an avid red. But don't panic the red is Munster rugby. Don't get to the Bridge anywhere near as often as I used to nor anywhere near as much as I would like to.
