I'm not surprised Hazard wants to take after Ronaldo. He's got a similar game play to Ronaldo's early United years. Once Hazard decides to cut inside from the left there is no stopping him. He's irresistable on that left flank.

No, that seemed to be a one-off decision. For example, you went through Mata against us when you beat us 2-0. Don't try to use a single game to prove anything mate. Oscar is your playmaker. Like Mourinho said: If he's good enough to be Brazil's playmaker, he's good enough to be Chelsea's.

Mate. Your game play went primarily through Oscar, in fact everytime I watched Chelsea, it was very obvious. Moreover, that's precisely the reason why Mata was sold, because he wanted the no.10 position and wanted the influence the play more. He was unable to fulfil Mourinho's requirements on the wing and so he was banished. In fact, what's interesting is that when Mata was given the no.10 role, he destroyed us in the Emirates stadium. Your manager gives specifc roles to each individual position, the interchanging of the players on the pitch is a natural consequence of the modern game.

I didn't say he can't play through the middle, I said he can't replace Silva through the middle, there's a big difference. Your attack pivoted around Oscar for the vast majority of the season, that is not in dispute. Mourinho did not use Hazard as the pivot point so I find it dubious for some people to believe that he displace Silva as City's playmaker, if you genuinely believe it, then fine. I have nothing more to say. I rate Hazard extremely highly and his qualities are not what is being doubted here.

Is that why your manager ran onto the Emirates and couldn't get Ozil's shirt quick enough Hazard would easily replace Ozil on current form though, Ozil's hopelessly out of form right now, he needs to pick up. In fact, Hazard could replace any of our attacking mids really. I'm not shying away from the truth. Facts are facts. I just don't get how you can sit there and say that Hazard can be City's playmaker when Mourinho himself does not favour him in that position. Either Mourinho is wrong, or you are wrong.

Just ignore him seriously, there's no point. Hazard isn't even Chelsea's no.10 Mourinho prefers Oscar in the central area and sticks Hazard on the left and yet some people on here are lining up to tell us how Hazard *obviously* would replace Silva as the playmaker. He can't even replace Oscar in the central area. There's no point continuing this debate.

Wow. Ok..ummm.. of course you would. You would play him completely out of position just to accommodate him? Hazard's trademark skills come from off the left, he is nowhere near as good as Silva in the centre of the pitch or Navas on the right, that's ridiculous c'mon. That's just blatant bias, which you're entitled to though.

Well who do you think he could replace considering the 6 in front of the defence is Yaya, Fernandinho, Aguero, Silva, Navas, Negredo.

Hazard probably wouldn't get in the City first team but it won't be because of Nasri, who isn't even in the first team. Both top class players though. Terry would get into any PL team.

I agree with the FA decision. Moreover, Jose (as usual) is applying different standards to himself. Chelsea fans should be the first to know since they had front row seats when the likes of Lucio and Samuel rolled into town. There's only one way Chelsea got dumped out of the CL by Inter and it sure ain't thru fair play dog! ;)

Oh and btw, I actually called Chelsea as winners of PL from September and I've been saying it ever since I joined this forum as well. I'm not jumping on the bandwagon simply because they beat City away and are now top of the league. Proof is in my post history. Yes, I'm smug, as I usually am when I'm right haha

I think what you're trying to say is that Arsenal don't perform in the big games, which is a fact. Wenger has built a team of flat track bullies in my opinion. In all honesty, he's in a lose-lose position. If we lose or draw to United, Wenger will be accused of not being able to beat big teams. If we beat United, well...this is a poor United team that lost to West Brom, Spurs, Newcastle, Everton, Stoke etc

Haha what a joke of a league the Spanish la liga is. Week after week these corrupt referees hand over fake goals to Barca and Real Madrid. It wasn't too long before they gave it to Barca today, well done Sanchez, your mum must be proud of you (not really his fault but he scored the goal so I'm pissed).

How? Coutinho and Sterling are not better than Kagawa, Mata or even Januzaj. Sturridge would not be able to get a look in with Rooney and RVP in the team. Individually United are far superior but they have a clown as manager, who persists with the likes of Valencia and Young. That's my opinion anyway.

Mata Post-Sale Thread
I feel sorry for him. I think he's going to struggle big time to get to the World Cup. Del Bosque has a conveyor belt of technically gifted midfielders just itching to get on the plane.

I think Wenger has achieved his objective nicely, which is to secure top 4. There is no chance we are finishing 5th, we have amassed too many points for that. The Arsenal board's objective is top 4 and that's already been achieved. Anything else is a bonus.

Arsenal-United game on Wednesday has a lot riding on it, both managers under pressure, albeit for very different reasons. It's shocking how a top 4 place is out of sight for Moyes if they lose on Wednesday, the fault is squarely on Moyes. Man-for-Man they have a far better squad than Liverpool, only Suarez could get in United. How they are 9 points behind Liverpool and behind the likes of Everton and Spurs and still he has a job, I have no idea.

Do you see that Arsene? You made changes, lo and behold! We stopped conceding. I've never seen a more gutless performance. I would take a 5-1 loss against Chelsea, or City, but against Liverpool? There needs to be some accountability. To think we have Bayern on the way, ugh.

Why couldn't we get massacred before the transfer window closed? Wenger would have brought in some quality players at whatever price, he's reactive, not pro-active.
-
Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
Seriously, waiting for 5-0 to make changes? I can't think of a single manager that would even think about that. Mourinho and Alex would have hauled them off long before half time.
-
Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
Well, obviously it's going to be 5-0, we made no changes at HT. Wenger has sanctioned this performances, not a single player got punished.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
I actually think Chelsea could easily have got a win against us if they pressed Arteta like Coutinho is doing today. I was bemused at the time as to why Jose said that he allowed Arteta all the time and space he needed, we have a weak DM position and if you put bodies in and around Arteta the game will slip right through our midfield. I think Chelsea missed a trick there.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
Disgusting first half. Heads had to roll at 2-0 down, I was just waiting for Wenger to make changes to stem the flow, but no. 3 and 4 soon followed. He's vindicating this performance by not making any changes. Someone has to pay price.

Again, the true face of Spanish football is exposed once again, if you haven't already read the link, here it is: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/feb/07/cristiano-ronaldo-referee-suspended-sent-off-real-madrid Ronaldo banned for three games for the sending off, the ban is upheld , but despite that, the ref is punished with a month suspension. His crime? Sending off Real Madrid's star player, we can't have that in La Liga, oh no, Real Madrid 10-men, held to a draw against a nothing team? We can't have that, not in Spain. Further proof (as if we didn't know already), the league is a scam, the entire thing is geared towards the two establishment teams, they don't even try to hide it anymore, there's no point. Muniz Fernandez, the corrupt referee who handed both Real Madrid and Barcelona phony victories is still there, they even tried making excuses for him. When players like Iniesta come charging in defence of these corrupt underhanded refs, you know something's clearly going on. I can't stand watching La Liga week in week out, it's painful viewing. If it was anywhere near that level of corruption in the UK, the games would be halted and the Met police would probably be involved. Sickening. Puta Madres.
