I don't think it is fair to say Matic shouldn't react like that when he was at the wrong end of a career ending tackle.

The same could be said for Barnes; he is paid insane amounts of money to NOT hospitalize someone! People need to open their eyes and realise that even if Matic should have been sent off, which he shouldn't, it was in retaliation. Barnes had been trying to injure our players all day.

Yes, a week surrounded by controversy, crap ref decisions, and next week will probably be the same when the FA don't overturn Matic's red card.

I didn't look at the vine, I saw the highlight somewhere which shows more of the incident. But yes, I watched it in slow motion and realised there was intent.

After watching it I now know there was intent. Hopefully we can appeal, but I can't see the FA making a decision in favour of Chelsea

I've watched it a few more times. He passed the ball and followed through. I never said it wasn't a red card, just that I'm not sure there was intent. Now I've looked at it in slow motion I've realised that he actually looks at Matic's leg. It was a leg breaker and we should appeal.

I've just seen a highlight of the red card. It was a terrible challenge, but I don't think he was acutally looking at Matic when he made the challenge(attack) and I don't know if there was any intent. Will look at it again though. Still he shouldn't have been on the pitch.

Newcastle will get nothing tonight. We were never going to run away with the title, but surely we're not going to lose it now.
