Chelsea Appeal Matic Red Card
Just accept the 2 game ban fellas and move on. It better than 3 or 4. Whether we win the Cup or not the boys have the CL to lift them again. So glad he's back for Southampton.

Chelsea Appeal Matic Red Card
Great news IMO. 2 games is better than 3. Fingers crossed we cope well without him against west ham. Carling cup does have it's advantages ☺ï¸

Zola I think you should really grow up and understand that not everyone will share yours or the most popular opinion about all things Chelsea. I'm sorry but anyone trying to take the high ground on who's a real fan is a half wit. On most match day I usually meet up with a couple of mates and sometimes there mates at Brogans or somewhere close for a drink and chit chat. Ages range from around mid 20s to a guy in his 50s. Believe it or not but certain members have their likes and dislikes, but we all get along and have decent convo. I've heard opinions like.... Jose moans to much, and I'm not happy with his playing style, I preferred Carlo. Oscar doesn't offer much to this team Drogba is ruining his legacy These are a few examples, which if posted on here would get a bunch of halfwits questioning ones support instead of providing a logical counter argument or at worst, agreeing to disagree. There are thousands and thousands of loyal, old and the so called ''new' Chelsea fans out there. Not everyone will share the same popular opinion. As much as we all love Hazard, I'm sure there is someone out there who might have a problem with him. As deluded as such a claim may be, that doesn't mean they as less of a supporter than you. Can't believe I even have to type this. Some of the blind accusations on this forum are farcical.

What Spurs did that night is what we need to do more often. Just go for it and have a pop. Have faith in our abilities and go for goal. No mercy. After we took the lead we had a short spell of dominance then just like against City, Burnley United etc, we took our foot off the gas.

Personally I think it was the fact that we had a small cushion over city which made it bearable. Had that loss seen City overtake us in the league I'm pretty sure I would've felt worse.

I was also at the Lane for the 5-3 Mclovin and i didn't take it as bad as I thought I would. Didn't sink in or anything. I accepted that on the night, Spurs were the better side.

Chelsea Appeal Matic Red Card
It certainly won't get over turned. The annoying thing is no red card shown the other way. If the Fa somehow did rescind it, does that set a bad example that all players are allowed to react every time they are on the end of a bad tackle? I don't think if be rescinded for that very reason.

FA take no action on Ashley Barnes
Oh were we arguing? I thought we were debating opposing views. Maybe it goes to show the general atmosphere in this forum, someone looking for an argument if they disagree with an opinion (just look at the aggressive posts to the Burnley fan). A bit over the top don't you think?

Thank you. Good thing that opinions (positive/negative/optimistic/pessimistic) on this forum have no direct effect on the team. I do try my part to lift the team when at matches though :). That's what counts to me.

I actually don't think a loss will certainly de-rail our season. Jose said when we lose, we won't lose the next game. I trust in him that he won't allow us to completely fold. I can easily see us beating Spurs and going onto dropping points to either West Ham or Saints.

If Jose wins 2 league titles back to back in 2015 and 2016, you can be sure the board will stick with him for a 3rd year at least. If he wins only the League Cup back to back, he'll be out the door. In this day and age, big clubs don't build long term success by winning league cups. Sad but true, a top 4 finish is bigger than the league cup now. Money is the game in football these days. It's the same with the Europa League. There's a reason why they are giving the winners an extra incentive this season and there's a reason why Jose ridiculed it.

And I said I've been Chelsea since the 90s. Do you think I'm lying, or do you think that you're getting a bit ahead of yourself? @Nibs

Can you provide any evidence of the demographic of these new fans and their football interests before roman came on board?

And one more thing Nibs. You branded me a "new fan" which indeed makes your judgement on how long you have supported chelsea relevent.

Nibs As I said, different strokes for different folks. I am very passionate and a forum is not a good indicator of how passionate a fan can be. We didn't lose against Burnley but my weekend was ruined because we didn't win, regardless of the circumstances. I'm the type of fan who grew up with no expectation of Chelsea to win anything, now we are big and successful I am spoilt that I want our major honours to reflect our investment. You can lose sleep over losing to a club who have won the least relevant trophy in top flight football twice in 20 years but I won't. I'm have my mind on a bigger prize. If you think that I'm some new fan or plastic or whatnot then fine, I won't lose no sleep over that either :)
