I actually think the ref got the red card decision right. For me the other defender had the momentum to get back and cover. Either way, it didn't matter. All in all, I think the ref had a good game, and that's from someone that despises him!

I'm more than happy to have a bet with anyone saying Mikel will go. He won't and shouldn't leave anytime soon. I think he'll be our next club captain.

Evening all. I've been reading these forums for over 6 months now but never felt the need to sign up and post for myself. Tonight is the first time I've read the match thread because I'm usually at the game or working. I've got to say, I hope none of the team ever find their way to these forums, because some of you ought to be ashamed! No we aren't playing brilliantly in the first half but get behind the team and it'll come. West Ham are making it very difficult so it'll take time to break through their two lines of four. Finally, Mikel is an extremely important part of our team/squad and I truly believe the haters on here don't know all that much about football. Someone that breaks up play and gives the ball to others is so important for us. Ask our back four and I guarantee they love having Mikel in that role! Anyway, that's my first thoughts! Cheers
