  1. People with humour usually don't throw insults as an answer.
  2. I'm sorry but I think you may add that the French also have a better sense of humour than the ... Brits. What do you think? No Madrid fan around, well, as for French language, they usually also speak English like spanish cows (it's a common expression). I'm afraid Bayern fans would also be too serious to come over and "banter". Hey guys, I don't know, but I really have a bad feeling about your team tonight, with all the injuries. Atletico is overly confident and will probably push extremely hard. Better park the bus tonight ...
  3. If André "The Lumberjack" Schürrle aka The New Rummenigge scores again, I'll eat sauerkraut for one week. If Demba Ba scores again, I'll watch a full match of cricket without sleeping.
  4. That's cool. What is redandwhite btw? Any "friendly" Liverpool, MU or Arsenal fan?
  5. Hi chaps, have you missed your PSG correspondent these days? I just come around to say hi and see how things are going. Hey what about losing a qualification for CL semis 3 min before the end thanks to a lifelong PSG fan who never plays and scores ... I think losing to Sunderland is more edible. Btw football is so unpredictable, you guys are invincible at home till you lose to the worst team of PL ... Look, you're 3 matches away from lifting a second CL in 3 years. You know that destiny wants the Reds to be champions this year. Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be ... Focus on tuesday evening, it's gonna be hard but thrilling. You can play ugly and go through. Your José knows how. Chelsea is hated all over England (like PSG in France), and then what? Just enjoy your own history. Blues also will never walk alone :) In the meantime, I send you a postcard from Stade de France. It is hardly a consolation prize, but PSG won the League Cup in front of a 80,000 crowd, despite being already on holiday and performing quite bad without Zlatan. Cheers.
  6. Well, with what's going on in Russia, you never know. I don't think PSG is after José now. He likes to stay 3 years in a club, so let it be. Actually I would like Leonardo to come back to reactivate networking and PR. And Joe Barton to have some fun :)
  7. Well, Zlatan and Thiago Motta were almost forced to leave Milan for Paris. They saw it as a regression initially and were reluctant. Look where Milan is now. I can tell you they're happy and fully committed in PSG. Except they're both torn for not being in the semis. Things can change very fast. Don't underestimate Qatari, they're in talks with everybody, José included.
  8. Yes I can stick around but the thing is I don't have much to say. I don't follow Premier League or any other league. I just watch my team whenever I can, the rest of French league is too terrible to watch. But only Champions League really turns me on, when my team is in. That's why I was so high last week after the 3-1, and I came here a bit cocky :) I think old Chelsea fans here can understand what old PSG fans have been through for almost 15 years, just being spectators of French league and European cups because we were buried in anonymity. Again, you guys have no idea how much this 2nd deserved but lucky goal killed us on tuesday night. Ok I can be the resident PSG correspondent here. I don't have much time for football but will try to watch big Chelsea PL games once in a while, then I'll come to say a word here. Hope we will have a PL team in group stage next season, so we have early encounters. For Eden, if he gets tired of cheesecakes and prefers macarons, what can I do? Haha, you guys are scared :)
  9. Good luck Chelsea for this one. That will be my last post before next Chelsea-PSG. I like to see change in CL winners so I won't go as far as supporting Chelsea from now on. Sorry. A correspondent based in Madrid and talking every week on French radio about La Liga had warned us not to underestimate Atletico among possible semi-finalists (provided we would not disintegrate at the Bridge ...). They run and press for 90 min non stop. They hit. Bitter again today, knowing that we could have faced them, but I think it will be a challenge for Chelsea on the physical side. Better have fresh players on the pitch ...
  10. I'm afraid nobody is taking it. Cavani is settling his divorce and had to fly over to Uruguay 2 or 3 times already, just for this. Not the best way to be mentally ready for CL. Zlatan is in Sweden doing what he wants. I think it's free flying mode already ...
  11. Hi there, I hadn't noticed this thread was still continued. Be honest guys, you all sweat for 94 min on tuesday evening. PSG lost their game and mind after that haunting free throw and goal. But it was a fine line still. Thanks my new buddy for defending me! How do I feel? Well, you can read my post heart attack posts in the other thread to see how I felt and my thoughts. As far as I remember, it's the first time we're ousted from Euro cups by a top team after winning the 1st leg, all the more with a 2 goal advantage. That includes our years of brilliance at the middle of 90s (when we didn't see Chelsea btw, haha). One of the nights of glory or shame you never swallow. We have a lot of commonalities indeed, Chelsea being like 10 years ahead of PSG in terms of development. So I hope it's the beginning of a long rivalry Only Eurostar separates us, after all. Closer than your beloved United and Liverpool :) I was thinking, maybe we should hire Joe Barton for our next year bout. For kick and red card :)
  12. Nasser isn't the owner of PSG, the real owner (with the $$$) is the emir of Qatar. They might be a bit brutal on the human management side, they certainly don't want to wait for 10y to win the CL, but I guess they're learning how to run a European football team little by little. Ancelotti claims that he left PSG because they didn't trust him any more. However, he also knew that Real wanted to replace Mourinho ... Nasser doesn't have a track record in football, but he knows sport, as a former pro tennis player. He played Davis Cup for Qatar and had links with France from young. This sour mug was an instant image I guess. Of course he was devastated. But he talked with class to the media, as usual.
  13. Thanks. I can tell you they're not ready to swallow it yet. It's a disaster.Zlatan is super arrogant but a very fair and committed player. PSG can't hate Chelsea but himself today. This free throw haunts me.
  14. PSG doesn't belong to Canal Plus any more. Actually they're linked to Canal's arch rival beIN Sports, which belongs to Qatar. Canal rather sh... on PSG whenever they can, indeed. If he wants to come to Paris, he will. His decision (and if Chelsea needs some $).
  15. Might interest people here. A nice report about Eden Hazard just released. It's a French programme named Intérieur Sport. Sorry no subtitles. http://www.canalplus.fr/c-sport/pid2708-c-interieur-sport.html?vid=1050482 We can see him wearing PSG jersey at the end. What a brilliant idea!
  16. I'm French, born in Paris quite long time ago. I'm expat in Asia, I seldom speak French, indeed. Except when I swear in front of Chelsea-PSG :) No idea which team I would support if I was brit. I think it's in family roots, no? I can say I quite hate MU and Liverpool. Probably too arrogant. Posting in this forum actually helps to heal the pain of yesterday ... but with a 2 goal advantage and a foot in the semis before 2nd leg, it's still gonna hurt for months. I've always put European cups before everything else, back from 80s.
  17. Hi dude and guys. So how do you feel this morning? I guess boosted by the qualification ... No beers and nothing to celebrate on my side. To give you a picture, I live in Saigon in Vietnam; after this dinner and the unexpected encounter with this Millwall buddy, I went home to watch the match at 1:45 am, vietnamese tv muted and french radio. You know what? They had invited youngsters to watch the match at the TV station, they all had Chelsea jerseys and flags. Disgrace! PSG is only starting to develop in Asia (we'll play Liverpool in Indonesia this summer, and then in Beijing). So no beers, just a lot of sweat, cursing, and rage ultimately. Now let me wrap up this match and share what is said in French media. Like I said in previous posts, PSG sucked yesterday, on the very day everybody was waiting for them to deliver on the European scene. Because CL starts in 1/4 finals. We crushed Leverkusen 7-1 in 1/8, but we can see the next step is much higher. We reached the semis once in 1995, ousted by a great AC Milan. 19 years ... That's why it's so bitter today. I can't imagine the pain when John Terry slips and misses the winning penalty in 2008. And all the years Chelsea had to wait to finally lift the bigears cup. Yesterday, there wasn't the expected heavy charge in the first 20 min. Was it intentional from Chelsea, I don't think so. PSG was quite in control, I would say. Then came the 1st goal, which is a defensive disgrace. 4 Chelsea players surrounded by 8 PSG players ... Schürrle forgotten by Lucas, the man had time to sip coffee before arming the shoot. You can see that we can't rely on a youtube player like Lucas yet, at this level where 1s of inattention is punished. Then the machine broke down, no more transmissions between the lines, and Chelsea took control. I guess it would have been another story with 0-0 at half time, more confidence on PSG side. Then, 2nd half, two miracle crossbars, a good free kick for PSG, all for Alex (probably feared in The Bridge for that), and no, Cavani makes sh.. of it? WTF?? 35th min, the turning point, Cavani misses the equalizer. That was it, he would have been a god in Paris. But that wasn't an easy shot, after a good control. He spent a lot of energy running and defending around before. He, and other PSG strikers, are more to blame for not keeping the f...ing ball in the corners. How many balls lost and returned to Chelsea. Zlatan would never have scored this goal, too slow, but we missed him immensely as the backbone and soul of our team. He would have scolded the kids playing nonsense. I guess the 2nd goal had to happen in the last 5 min, it was written, to make it really unbearable for us. At least for me! All the more scored by a parisian, who almost apologizes after that. Bouh! Now what do French media say. Basically that CL is about fighting, guts, commitment, discipline ... and of course, experience, all what Chelsea showed yesterday, and that PSG lacked. You don't have the frequent highlights of Zlatan scoring kung-fu goals or Lucas dribbling the whole team, but you're more than ready for fights when it counts. With this squad, PSG should be in semis, it could well be real today. But we haven't earned it yet. I wouldn't be proud but so happy to have cleared the hurdle and excited to try out the semis of 2010s. It hurts so badly. CL is like pole vault. 1/4 5m80, 1/2 5m90, final 6m, victory 6m+. Bloody bar :( Nasser says they wil be there for long, but I wonder what Qatar thinks now. We can't wait for the last 15 min of the 1/4 finals to assess what we have in the shop. It will take forever till we have 3 or 4 competitive teams to challenge PSG in France. If only PSG could join Premier League. That would be beneficial to both parties actually, and so convenient. London is like the 21st district of Paris! The mentality so closer to PSG new governance than in France ... Rah well, won't happen. Good luck again guys for the rest of the season. No regrets for yellow cards and suspensions, there must be damage at this level and other teams will be impacted too. Hope you will take Barca, you will get them.
  18. All these exchanges make the defeat less bitter. You see, it may be nicer to have a French c..t around here than guys from Arsenal, MU or whatever ... Kidding.
  19. Hey I was waiting for you before I go, because I'm in Asia and it's a bit late now ... Hard to sleep after getting KO 3 min before the end. Funny story, I was in a restaurant tonight, and started to talk to an old couple sitting nearby. They were from London. I asked the man if he liked Chelsea. Not surprisingly, he said "oh nooo!". He indeed supports ... Millwall, which is very respectable. So he told me that Chelsea was "shiiite". Like I told your mates, I hope Chelsea will win the CL. You have to pile these beauties when you can. If you can wipe out Barca or Real next round, it's cool. Ok, see you some day maybe. Perhaps we could be in the same CL group next september. How many beers did you have tonight, before and after?
  20. Can't despise a team who overperforms mine. Contrary to Barca last year. I think PSG and Chelsea have a lot in common. People in France hate PSG outside Paris (well less since we have Zlatan), people in England hate Chelsea outside The Bridge (if I'm not wrong). And we both got big investments suddenly. Big difference is we don't play in PL ...
  21. Yes, 3-3, but glory for Chelsea and shame on PSG. I guess José is the one who can take PSG to the bigears cup ...
  22. Demba is a fan of PSG. Seriously, why it had to be him to bury us? God Save the Champions League!
  23. You have to admit that if he wasn't your coach, sometimes you'd like him to shut the f..k up with all the bullsh*t. But undefeated in 8 1/4 finals, chapeau José!
  24. Hey last post before goodbye. Do you know that José went shaking hand with Zlatan at the middle of 2nd half, then went chitchatting with Makelele under Blanc's eyes ... And I hear that one guy was showing a shirt of Kostadinov to Blanc from the 1st min to the end :) Kostadinov knocked out France of 94 World Cup in Nov 93 with a last second goal! Blanc sucked in defense on that day. I have to visit "The Bridge" one day :)
