Brixtac got a reaction from mad_mac in David Luiz back at ChelseaWhen you sold him for £50m, that was the greatest sale of a player in history.
Buying him back now for £34m isn't that bad considering how the market has gone. It is probably the equivalent of about £20m back when you sold him. I

Brixtac reacted to mad_mac in Random RumoursIt's members like you that make me enjoy having "opposition" posters on here. At times I think this forum can get too caught up in a Chelsea Bubble that it's nice to have a perspective from the outside to let us know what others are thinking.
I don't know what's going to happen with the squad this year, who does? First, Cech going is a bit sh*t, really; especially when it's to the Woolwich Wanderers but if we replaced him with BEgovic I'd say that was a decent move by the club. If we look at JT getting to the end of his time as a pro footballer, I think we really need to start looking there, and I'd personally like to see a Youth Team player being used knowing that if they don't cut it we'll probably go out for someone like Varane next season.
In the centre, if we continue to play 4-2-3-1 I don't expect us to make too many big signings as Cesc and Matic is solid and a big signing is obviously going to want game time immediately. If we did sign someone in that area, like Pogba for example, then I think that forces Fabregas to a more central AM role. Personally, I doubt we'll do that as I think Jose likes having Cesc carry the ball forward from deeper, knowing that he has an option of pushing him further forward later in a game if needed. I'm also not sure we'll see a monumental change in formation to accommodate another player like Pogba.
Attacking mids is where it starts getting interesting. I think Moses is getting sold, and we'll use the 8Mill from him to fund something else. The left Wing is Hazard's and that's not going to change. Center and Right is where it gets very interesting. Do we try and continue with Oscar as the #10? Do we sign a RW and shift Willian into the #10 role? If we do that, I think it's the end for Oscar. Then what about Ramires and Cuadrado? I think Ramires is very versatile, and can play centrally, and deeper, or out on the right if we really are setting up for counter attacking football. However, can we keep him happy? Cuadrado....jury is still out, but I think it was a hasty purchase by the club and he's not done too much to make me think that this is anything other than a bad fit.
Strikers. Costa will be our main man, but we know of his dodgy hamstring, and wild temperament so who knows if we'll get a full season out of him? Remy is more than capable as a back up, and I like him as a player (can even play out on the right if needed). Then there is the most expensive loan player ever, but hey at least Falcao is only a loan, and if he's 3rd choice, then I think that's a pretty solid front 3.
So, in essence, I don't think we need to strengthen too many areas. Maybe right wing and a Left Back should Luis want away

Brixtac got a reaction from the special one in Random RumoursOn the one hand, you guys had by far the best team in the league last season, so you "need" to upgrade the least out of the top teams, just mere tweaks and young players. However, you lot need to be careful not to fall into the Man City trap of winning the league, buying sh*te players then barely challenging if at all the next season.
At the moment no one has really added to themselves yet to worry you, but with Arsenal finally getting their act together by getting a decent keeper and us hopefully getting some new players (Depay and hopefully Ramos and Schneiderlin), plus an extra year of getting to know Louis' tactics, there will be some threat. At the minute though, there really isn't much of a need to panic as some of you are on here. We have more of a right to be worried, considering we haven't been linked with any right backs and Valencia is looking to be our first choice there next season...

Brixtac got a reaction from skippy in Following our ex`s...I'm a United fan, if you couldn't tell by my avatar, and wanted to post that one of the few things that we all have in common is a love for Juan Mata. He is possibly the classiest and nicest footballer I've ever seen.
Seriously, what a guy.

Brixtac reacted to RichardCFC in Following our ex`s...I'm confident he will. He was a huge favourite and nearly everyone wanted him to be played by Mourinho before he left. I certainly don't think he'll get a bad one. At least polite applause. He got a great one from our away fans at OT.
