Why are people so keen to separate the first 11 from the rest of the players like they are untouchable? This is a squad game now. Every player coming into the team at any point should be at a level where the quality isn't impacted as a result. Much like Drinkwater, I don't want someone coming in who is ok being on the bench. If Llorente is happy with that then I don't want him here.

Ridiculous that a club of our stature is only looking for "squad fillers" imo.

You've never heard me ask for this. They love the idea of being this amazing club that brings players up from about 8 years old to the first team, but in reality, the majority of these players will reach a certain level-a level which is good enough for our reserves, but not for the first team and then get the hump when they are sold/loaned out.

Tomori, Musonda, Kenedy, Scott for starters. Can you honestly say that is a bench that the Champions of England should be having at their disposal?

You sound like an Arsenal fan mate. We might have spent 130m, but that’s only replaced players leaving. We only have 14 players to use as it stands. Do you really think that’s how a club of our current stature should be operating at, knowing we’re expected to challenge on four fronts this season? The preparation for this season has been piss poor at best and once again we find ourselves having to buy mediocre players at the end of the window just to fill the squad.

For me it's not about not being bothered signing anymore players, it's more a case of we've had such a poor window to the point that we're six days from it closing and we're no closer to signing anyone than we were 3 weeks ago. So I'd rather we didn't sign anyone so in the event we fall away from competing for the league or get knocked out of the CL, it will show the board how incompetent they were and things could have been a lot better had they pulled their finger out and actually paid the big money for the big players instead of penny pinching and waiting like they have done.
