Correct, but the lack of input from the wingers I tie directly to the gaffer. Everytime they recieve the ball it's 2v1 as the fullbacks are encouraged to invert. That means to create anything they need to beat two men on their own, so 9/10 they turn around and recycle it. If Gusto or Cucurella bomb up on the outside it takes a defender away, all them going inside does is clog uo the area Palmer wants to operate in. Stretch the pitch, create one on one's make the spaces bigger. I learnt all this playing Sunday league.....
