So Betis are ‘technically’ the home team?

Fiorentina win would have put us in the away kit then.

Should be yes, their name is on the left when you Google the final.

First actually good team we have faced in the competition. FC Copenhagen were decent but Betis are 6th in La Liga and have beaten both Real and Atletico, as well as drawn twice with Barca, this season.

No mugs.

All of our first choice players can be used except the injured Wes Fofana, the banned Mudryk and Romeo Lavia.

Play against a team with Anthony as their star player, never thought that would happen this season 😁

Let's win this one, to add some credibility to the status of the club, and aims higher next season of course.

Now that we're in, I seriously want to win this and complete the set in Europe.

If we don't win the abuse Arsenal are getting will seem like a love poem compared to what we will rightfully get.

Bad enough that we've already lost two games in this competition. West Ham were unbeaten when they won it ! (14 wins 1 draw)

Think we won every match bar the home loss to Legia

We need to win this one. It may be the only trophy we win for a while.😐

Or maybe you could say it would complete the European trophies set, and we’ll be able to say we’ve won it ALL.

I really believe this is going to be our only opportunity to win it and we must make sure that we do.

Betis are playing their last game this Friday, so they’ll have two more days of rest.

Just imagine Spurs win tomorrow and we lose both on Sunday and next Wednesday. Those living in London would need to go on holidays lol.

Lose to forest and we get the chance again next season, don't we?

Leaving Lavia out was a strange choice.

Sanchez

James Chalobah Colwill Cucurella

Caicedo Enzo

Sancho Palmer Noni

Neto

We are paying far too much respect for Betis, we should be winning this game with ease. Heads should roll for anything other than a comfortable win.

Maresca has already said that Jorgensen will be in goal.

Agree on Lavia. I bet there is some regret on that decision now LOL

Makes sense with him playing the other conference league games, i don't think there's much between the two keepers anyway. Both come with pros and cons.

Did think it was quite funny that he said in his interview (first one I have watched for months) that he will pick the best team available for the game, and then in the next breath he's sticking with his #2 keeper "because he has played in all the previous rounds so it would be unfair if he didn't play" 😄

Not to bring any controversy also to this thread (😲) but the narrative among some fans and podcasters (Chelsea journos) around the Conference League was we shouldn't be in it because we are mighty Chelsea and this competition is full of bums and second rate teams (which is true on a large scale) we end up facing a respectable side who could also win it. Betis is a good side with a good manager. It is not given we take this. Suddenly it is a respectable cup to win? No? Yes? Make up your mind.

To this young side need points of success in this project. We need to take steps and to me this is perfect for it. If we were at Europa we could have stumbled on the way easily.
