May 27, 20251 yr I think he'll play this :Jorgensen ; Acheampong, Adarabioyo, Badiashile, Cucurella ; Dewsbury-Hall, Caicedo ; Sancho, Fernandez, Madueke ; JacksonBench: Sanchez, Gusto, Chalobah, Colwill, James, Palmer, Neto, George, Guiu
May 27, 20251 yr It's so important to win this. Other than the likes of James, Trevoh, Palmer, Enzo, Cucu etc. I think the majority of these players haven't tasted major success in the form of silverware. Winning this final to me is probably comparible to winning the Leaue Cup. Instilling a winning mentality and taking a huge step in the right direction. Edited May 27, 20251 yr by AlexTommo
May 27, 20251 yr Anyone know what are allocation is for this? And have we sold it? There was a lot of coverage of Utd and Spurs fans travelling to Spain last week, but nothing about our game(which is understandable to be fair).I’ve noticed in TV pictures from away games in this comp that our support has generally appeared compact and if the flags and banners are anything to go by, we’ve had a lot of support from fans based in central and eastern parts of Europe.

We finished 6th last season and it mean we are in conference league. But it is not a respectable cup for us."According to TV4's Football Channel, some of the highest-paid players in Chelsea earn as much as the entire Djurgården organization"And we face a side from La Liga who is sixth in that league that has a massively experienced side with an excellent coach. That team won Real Madrid and drew against Barcelona this season for example. People here and in many outlets have arrogantly stated we should walk the cup, we should sack the coach if we don't win it and other drivel along those lines. And we find in the final there is a pretty good side and it is not a least bit surprise if we lose the final. How would you then rate Conference League? The journey to there we faced lower level sides, yes but to walk to the trophy.. people are delusional and live in the past.Hopefully we play great and win the cup. I think the players would absolutely love it. Me too!
May 27, 20251 yr Pablo Fornals, Real Betis; “No I don’t think (Chelsea) are favourites, it’s a final, we competed well against top teams in La Liga, I am quite confident!” (@tntsports)
May 27, 20251 yr Fornals has Conference League pedigree to be fair, I'm sure he was part of the David Moyes team that won it a couple of years ago.
May 27, 20251 yr I'm convinced this is a 50/50 game. Betis are no mugs, have had a good few months, whereas we haven't. I'd definitely say Betis would beat Tottenham and united. Probably on a par level wise with Forest. If we lose it's a disaster for morale. If we win I'd say its a fantastic result. I'd be shocked if we don't play our strongest side and if I see any of our second string (bar Jorgenson) in the team then we will lose.
May 27, 20251 yr I had my eyes on their game last Friday vs Valencia. They are an ok LA Liga outfit, better than all the 2 bob pub teams from Sweden and wherever in Europe that had to be knocked out on the way to the final that's a given. I would be picking the strongest available 11 and going there to win it.
May 27, 20251 yr It’s a trophy and we need to win it. Play the strongest possible line up I would go with JergensonJames chalobah colwill cucurella Enzo caicedoNeto palmer madueke Jackson
May 27, 20251 yr Author Ok, to quote Maresca, what the F?! Why name Mathias Amogou in the squad, when he was not even good enough to face Djurgarden at the bridge, and no Reggie Walsh?Nkunku is in the squad, as is Guiu. All the expected players are there. A reminder Romeo Lavia IS NOT in our conference league squad.
May 27, 20251 yr If we win it do we go all in like the Spammers and sing "Champions of Europe" and have 70,000 fans pack the streets around Stamford Bridge for the open top bus parade? Will we all be buying the Conference Champions 2025 DVD?
May 27, 20251 yr Author Worth remembering, to all those who say pick our strongest team. Man United dropped Europa league regulars for their "strongest team" and that resulted in them losing to Spurs.Argument is their main players felt the game was beneath them. Could be worse for us cause, whoever is picked, if we don't respect that real betis are a darn good team we will lose

Decent, and capable of raising their game on some occasions, but nothing special. You are right that they have a better coach though.

May 27, 20251 yr Author There have been much, much bigger games in our clubs history.however this is by far the biggest for this ownership. Fail to win this trophy, where we have faced part timers and some sides very few have ever heard of, regardless of betis being a good side, would be a blackeye after spending around 1.5 billion
