Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man City
I'd say they 100% won't be coming in winter, but a deal can definitely be struck as early as January for any of them. We'll all have a fine outlook of how the season's going and if they're still the 100m worth missing piece of Alonso's midfield for next season.

Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man City
I don't deny we'd be probably be better off getting Camara or someone else to partner Caicedo as we can't trust Reece/Lavia playing all the time, but people keep dismissing Barco as if Enzo was such a force of nature playing at the pivot. Put Barco in there and we'll pretty much have the same Enzo we signed back in 2023 and who hasn't improved one bit for us besides his goal record playing for a deluded Maresca. Barco even has more experience in Europe than Enzo did back then, already played a bit in the PL and all that. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, we've replaced Enzo's goals with Morgan Rogers, a far far better player for that role. We've now replaced Enzo's passing at the pivot (which isn't anything special really) with Barco, who's only 8cm shorter but puts up much more fight, has a better passing range and probably the same weaknesses, so I can't see how we've downgraded really.

Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man City
I'm in the camp that thinks he needs no replacement if we can't get Wharton or Scott for whatever price the board intends to spend. What we really needed instead of Enzos was a proper manager and it's early days and all that but seems we finally have one. We'll ride having Barco, Henderson and a few games of Lavia being a better partner to Caicedo than Enzo ever was. We got Rogers to replace his goals so what else did he bring that's not in the squad already?

Emiliano Martinez
So my take from this is that Sanchez makes 16% of his passes short, 8% long and then he f**ks up the remaining 76% directly to opponents?

The Mourinho Netflix Documentary
We were on to something with that Tuchel and Conte handshake, I thought back then that'd be the start of something amazing but BlueCo had other pottery plans, shame that is.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2026/27
Coventry should be calling both us and Arsenal asap for Josh/Mudryk and Nwaneri, they won't be able to cope in the PL with that squad.

I agree, that's why I'm a little worried given that Wigan are struggling in League One for years now and last year they finished just 7 pts ahead of the drop zone. Can't say I've watched them though, so just curious if they have a key role for him there. Although when Reece played there they almost got relegated from Championship (they got relegated the next year) as well and he still did great so there's that.

Final Preseason: Chelsea vs Real Sociedad - Saturday 15 August (kick-off 14:00, UK; 15:00, Italy) - Stamford Bridge
No Jacko, no Delap... odds for Barco as a false 9 and scoring a header?

Just seen he's been loaned to Wigan, while McQueen's been loaned to Portsmouth. I thought he could get a move to a stronger side in the Championship instead, does anyone know if Wigan are the right "project" for the lad?

I actually like the idea of loaning players in pairs to the same club, as one can have the other's back if anything goes south and puts a little more pressure on the managers to play at least one of them as it'd be really damaging to loan and then not play two players from the same club. Josh and Gittens/Mudryk at Coventry for example seems ideal. One defender and a fast player for a counter attack, even if he's only playing the sub role is already better than not playing at all here.

Benoît Badiashile joins Chelsea
Napoli triggering a 27m option? We should all be praying he somehow manages to be Napoli's top scorer this season or we'll be riding the Badi train yet again next summer!

Now let's give them a discount and they get Gusto as well. Happy times.
