blueandproud got a reaction from The Rising Sun in Football BuzzwordsFootball phrases I despise:
Stonewall penalty - I want to pour a jug of acid down anyone's throat who says that! What's wrong with "definite", obvious or clear cut?
From this player what you see is what you get - sod all!
Recycling the ball - What's that supposed to mean?
The term "professionalism" - another word for cheating basically
Not a football phrase, but the term "bang to rights" makes me want to give the people who say that "bang to rights" with my right hand!

blueandproud got a reaction from The Rising Sun in Euros 2024The sour grapes from Rhodri also made me chuckle, it was reminiscent of Arsene Wenger and the Barcelona sides of old whingeing about teams being negative or too physical, the Spanish sides (club or international sides) are the biggest cheats going, throwing themselves to the deck at the slightest bit of contact, faking injury, time wasting and waving imaginary cards at the referee to get the opponents booked or sent off, yes Barcelona, Real Madirid, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla I am talking about you!

blueandproud got a reaction from chi blue in John Neal: the forgotten hero who saved Chelsea Football ClubJohn Neal was a very underrated manager, and a class act. We played some brilliant stuff that season with Dixon and Speedie rattling in the ,goals, until we started playing the long ball crap football Hollins Whalley insisted on. RIP John Neal, you'll never be forgotten.

blueandproud got a reaction from Mod in Looking for a new home after CFCNet closed downAnother long time Chelsea fan and ex-cfcnet member, I've supported the club since 1974, despite living in North London all my life I'll be looking forward to some entertaining debates on various topics.
