  2. Defensive midfield players referred to as "a number 6". The last time I looked, number 6's were centre halves

  4. The sour grapes from Rhodri also made me chuckle, it was reminiscent of Arsene Wenger and the Barcelona sides of old whingeing about teams being negative or too physical, the Spanish sides (club or international sides) are the biggest cheats going, throwing themselves to the deck at the slightest bit of contact, faking injury, time wasting and waving imaginary cards at the referee to get the opponents booked or sent off, yes Barcelona, Real Madirid, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla I am talking about you!
  5. Football phrases I despise: Stonewall penalty - I want to pour a jug of acid down anyone's throat who says that! What's wrong with "definite", obvious or clear cut? From this player what you see is what you get - sod all! Recycling the ball - What's that supposed to mean? The term "professionalism" - another word for cheating basically Not a football phrase, but the term "bang to rights" makes me want to give the people who say that "bang to rights" with my right hand!
  6. Nah, not for me. I'm a firm believer in if you leave a club as a manager, you should never go back, it's never quite the same when you return, when Mourinho came back, he won the title, but that 2015 team wasn't a patch on any of our other title winning teams, it the least impressive Chelsea title winning side, and of course ,Mourinho nearly took us down the following season. If Potter does go, look elsewhere I say, Conte's style of football is obsolete and defunct.
  7. He can take Pulisic, Havetz, Ziyech for a start. Good luck to him, except when Bayern face us! I remember when Mourinho was rumored to ransack us of Frank, JT, Drogba and Carvalho, but the rumours were probably cock and bull stories
  8. They should carry on employing muppets like Redkanpp and Tim Sherwood, just like Tottenham's players they talk a better game than they play. And thank God the awful Daniel Levy isn't our owner!
  9. John Neal was a very underrated manager, and a class act. We played some brilliant stuff that season with Dixon and Speedie rattling in the ,goals, until we started playing the long ball crap football Hollins Whalley insisted on. RIP John Neal, you'll never be forgotten.
  10. It could be worse, they could have employed Harry Redknapp or Fat Sam Allardyce, two more grossly overrated managers. Allardyce's (and Tony Pulis') football is even worse than Hodgson's, they play 1980's style hoof ball.
  11. No, No, No,no! Mourinho is finished as a top manager. Kaputt. Past it. Over the hill. I haven't forgotten the way he left in 2015, he left us in a relegation battle, nd has done nothing but belittle us when he managed Man Ure. If and when Potter leaves, look elsewhere.
  12. My least favourite European team, they've never won anything fairly, they've done it by cheating and with help of dodgy refs like Ovrebo, Anders Fris and Terje Hague.

  14. Have to back him for now, who else is out there? Pochettino? A serial loser. Allegri? May look good in a second rate Serie A, but the PL is superior and I'm not at all convinced by him. Tuchel? Won't come back and Boehley would only end up looking stupid if he tried to entice him back. Conte? Never come back to a club you have left, things are never the same second time around. Mourhinho? A dinosaur, well past his peak and ever since he left has done nothing but belittle our club. What we need to do is get rid of dead wood like Pulisic, Ziyech and a few others, and sign a top striker.
  15. Another long time Chelsea fan and ex-cfcnet member, I've supported the club since 1974, despite living in North London all my life I'll be looking forward to some entertaining debates on various topics.
