  1. It must be time for Blueco to realise the common denominator to this shambles is the sporting directors - harder to get rid of blueco and players no one wants - lets get rid of those sporting directors who have been paid handsomely to ruin the club
  2. Reminds me of a previous game against this mob. When Matic got sent off, and a 1-0 lead turned into a draw after a let equaliser So falls into category - different day, same old sh*t
  3. The sporting directors have had a lot of kudos this window. But every time I heard Maresca talk about only needing two strikers, I was bemused. This is down to more not joined up squad building. Remember we were not even intending to sign a striker. If Delap had got injured tomorrow instead of Saturday, where would we be? Our sporting directors are really quite embarrassing in how they stomp around world football tarnishing the brand. That’s probably fine if they are delivering great outcomes. But are they? I guess they would say “world champions mate”. That’s fair enough but it feels like another season with a squad of imbalanced quality and another clown show of a last 72 hours of the window.
  4. Problem is of course costs money to get rid of maresca (chosen by the SDs) whilst its pure profit on selling Reece James (inherited by the SDs). in the pursuit of their own vanity and driving the biggest wedge possible between the fans and the players/club, when normally player power wins out, suspect we know how this ends.
  5. They are. Unfortunately the question is “can anyone find a 16 year old polish kid for us to sign as they seem to mature well?”
  6. I know all the reasons not to like him but Emery has done an amazing job. But why would he ever sell his soul to work with the 🤡 that own our club and their 🤡 sporting directors.
  7. Yes but their body language suggests something different to what they are saying Everyone should be pulling in same direction but these owners seem to think just telling people things and emotionally blackmailing fans will make us believe in their project, their dunce sporting directors and their z-list manager. They do not understand football fans. They just don’t. And for that reason, I worry you are right. Another dismissal makes them and the SDs look bad. And I just don’t see them admitting that mistake.
  8. The thing is surely if you are pursuing a player trading model as blueco seem to be doing with laurel and hardy implementing, a key part of such a strategy is to have a manager that improves players. Brighton do that for example. Our players have got worse under maresca not better. So how can he be the right manager for the project? Of course I would argue any manager who does not point out the failings of Stewart and Losestanley is probably not equipped to improve players. Also the best way to improve player value is for them to be winning things. this whole thing is a shambles. What we need right now is leadership. Something we always got from Roman. But the layers and layers of pointless clowns now at Chelsea are probably incapable of strong effective leadership. Regardless of all the mitigating circumstances , maraca is a one dimensional fraud who has eliminated the best qualities of all of the squad. He needs sacked. jorgensen / Sanchez - worse than previous clubs gusto / James - both underperforming v past centre backs - gone back massively cucu - from starving the euros to this enzo - World Cup winner diluted caicedo - over worked wingers - all misfiring versus historic performances (perhaps madueke aside) nkunku - absolutely ruined the guy Jackson - ok maybe he has improved a bit nearly ever player is going backwards. So surely only one outcome.

I think if you don’t want to win in the FA cup (which of course is a route to Europe), put out a clearly “b” team augmented by youngsters. On the basis we did not do that, it’s hard to now argue we just weren’t motivated or trying. Brighton were better team on Saturday and will be better team again this weekend because (nkunku / Jackson aside) our players will likely not change and nor will our tactics. I am going for Brighton win and this forum being an unhappy place. I would like to think it would lead to boardroom scrutiny of maresca but I prefer to keep my predictions grounded in reality!!
  10. There are so many teams who play with swagger, enjoying their football, who play with freedom, express themselves, relish competing against us. Last night was the latest example of that - but there have been others. The fact that we don’t mystifies me. Our football is so uninspired and turgid. Rarely any urgency or desire and players terrified to take a risk. On the field mirrors off the field, we are a club going through the motions who seem to care little for wins over losses. (The players must hate that). I completely agree that Maresca has been let down by those whose job security seems to not be based on football performance but let’s face it, he probably only took the job knowing he had to be deferential to them. And for that reason, I have little sympathy for him. We need an elite manager with an exciting distinct style of play. That is not maresca. But in conjunction with that manager (and probably the only way to make an elite manager come) we need a different hierarchical structure at the football club.
  11. He is going straight out on loan seemingly??? Might that mean to Strasbourg to replace Santos, and Santos is recalled after all?? Or will S&W, buy a midfielder, recall no one and loan out the midfielder they have bought!
  12. This is pretty much where I am. having said that, those second half subs when we needed a goal. 🤦
  13. They are the biggest problem Chelsea has. Absolute charlatans.
  14. I guess the logic is - you take one of our problems and we take one of your problems. This only happens if someone goes the other way (Sterling or chillwell) Presumably the hope is the incoming player is on lower wages than the outgoing player and so you have made a marginal gain.
  15. I am a Partick Thistle fan - we scored yesterday , I was there - a debut goal from a Finnish lad on loan from,...........Fulham!!! Still lost though so I take your point!
  16. The midfield player coming best out of this so far is Lavia
  17. Winstanley and Stewart making a diary note to pay €100m release clause on August 30th 2025.
  18. Long time lurker, now registered. A huge problem is Winstanley and Stewart. Everyone knew Potters bloated squad was a problem - yet they have failed to move players on over successive windows - in fact have compounded the problem by buying more They went for Maresca - but in doing so, his tactics were well known, and it ought to have been obvious it meant one of Caicedo Lavia and Enzo being sacrificed from the team each week, but they still chose him (this also ignores that the system threatens to also not get the best out of Nkunku and possibly Palmer) We have the wrong players for the tactics yet the same people have recruited the players and the manager - they should be out of the door rapid
