I’m airing toward the approach of having all your best players on the pitch at the same time to give yourself the best chance of winning. Probably means dropping a defender (Fofana for me) and adding an extra attacker, slotting Stevie in as a 10 between Rogers & Palmer and behind JP. Don’t see why we couldn’t take this approach against every side that isn’t Arsenal or Liverpool really.

Arsenal sh*thoused the Prem last season and got to the Champions League final. We lost by 1 away from home. If Gabriel had been deservedly sent off, if JP was half a centimetre longer, if the referee used his eyes and was competent. We get out with at least a point. Yes, we could’ve/should’ve signed a CM this window, but then this was the seasons ‘biggest task’ and we did OK. Everyone hitting the panic button and acting like the skies falling down. I think credit where it’s due but also criticism as well. He was f**king sh*te going forward today, beyond wasteful. The difference when Stevie came on was night & day. He’s a role to play in this side but no point glazing someone for the sake of it, he was good the other night. Today he was not good.

We were in the game for 90 minutes. Without Caicedo & Palestra. Positives to take from it. Stevie needs to be starting, find a way to get him into that lineup.
