I get the pessimism I really do but I’m hopeful the line in the sand has been drawn with Alonso coming in.
He needs to be given time to get 26 players he trusts but when he runs down the touchline and knee slides in front of the Kop after a 97th minute Chelsea winner he’ll get as much time as he needs from me.

The money isn't the problem, it's the idiots in charge of spending it. We could raise ~250m from selling Fernandez, Neto, Garnacho/Gittens, Fofana, Gusto etc but I have no faith they could spend that on anyone remotely capable of replacing them.

These people have both the means and intention to throw good money after bad in narcissistic pursuit of their 'model' until someone else is left with the clean-up job.
