Part of me really wants this deal to happen but part of me says £50 million is way too much. The part of me that wants us to sign him is slightly more though. I just really want us to make a mark on this transfer window.

One thing I must say that goes against Torres for me is how much he complains he often talks himself into a yellow card arguing with the referee. Oh and he wants a freekick for everything.

Its not Torres and Drogba working together that would be the problem, I guarantee they would be a superb strike force. Its just what do you do with the team around them. Its clear that a two man midfield doesn't suit Frank Lampard and Essien is wasted in a defensive position. When we played two strikers before we clearly lacked width. Thats my biggest concern with signing Fernando Torres the way it effects the whole team.

I think had we gone for him sooner and given you some time to spend the money then I think we'd have got him but not in two days. Also you might keep him just to make an example of him and put him on the bench for the rest of the season. I do think you should sell him just because he won't give 100% but I just think there isn't enough time. He has been average I agree but there have been glimpes of what he can do. What bugs me about him is how he disapears when the going gets tough and do we really want a player like that?

I just don't see it happening, you'll be stuck with him until the summer and he'll end up at Barca I reckon.

The reasons Sheva didnt work out was cause he was too old, he'd just had knee surgery and he had played too long in the Italian league. Torres is 26 and proven in the EPL, the only thing that worries me is his injury record but different medical teams at different clubs can be a difference in that scenario. So if he is to join its a risk but not at the same level of risk as Sheva.

I hope it does one thing I think we lack is attacking options out wide

Its his money he's wasted. I know its too late for it but imagine his face if it had turned out Torres had never handed in a transfer request that'd be priceless :D
