I've been thinking quite a bit about where football is heading the last couple of years, and it doesn't look pretty. Since I'm a follower of Chelsea from abroad (I support a club in my native Finland and the NT as well, watching loads of games), it's hard to get a real take on what local followers think.
So what would most prefer: a trophy winning side with big earners or the real football experience, with a passionate home crowd and having a laugh with your mates regularly at football? I know I'd go for the latter one.
It pisses me off that football is being destroyed, even though I'm a relatively new follower of Chelsea, too. It's sad to see that the atmosphere is nowadays often better even at American matches (Seattle, Portland), not to mention many European countries. In the end it all comes down to ticket prices.
F**k the EPL and Sky!
