Benayoun is only good enough to be a squad player for us in my opinion...never good enuf to be starting week in week out

There isnt a hope AVB would upset anyone this early in his chelsea career and drop Lampard for McEachran anyway so i cant see him starting even 15 games this season. Maybe AVB might have the bottle to do it but new managers tend to want to keep everyone happy and not introduce major overhauls such as dropping the first name on the team sheet for the past 6-7 seasons. If I had my way I would be starting josh and sturridge and rotating lukaku and romeu in their respective positions but it seems AVB and chelsea managers in the past few seasons have had too much pressure and too much on their plate to play these types of players

I would agree sturridge went away to bolton not even second choice striker in the chelsea team and after his fantastic time there and his pre season I believe now he will start the game saturday against sunderland as a first choice player in our squad. If josh went away for the year and had the same impact at a club we could see him being the direct replacement to lampard next season as his career comes to an end.He still isnt even 20years old we have plenty of time to see him in a chelsea shirt week in week out...and may it be long and successful when we do

Hopefully spurs signings of parker and possibly diarra from madrid are seen as the replacements to let modric move to chelsea.Im hoping and praying the move goes through modric has been my favorite player outside of chelsea for the past 2 seasons.In my opinion the best ball player in the league now scholes has retired also.Would be an excellent step forward for our squad

i hope abramovich and the guys behind the scenes do whatever it takes to get modric into the club. Him along with mata and a hopeful return to form for lampard could be an awesome force. Surely create a tonne of goals for torres aswel as he looks like hes finally building up his confidence with us

Heres hopin sturridge will start he definitly should and also deserves to.it would be frustratin if he didnt get the chance now after that fantastic pre season. Great points faith-in can see that diamond formation being used plenty this season maybe not from the start but definitly when in need of a late goal or when the team not quite playing to full potential on the day

Did you ever get over Drogba's initial poor form, or has it been a frustrating 5-6 years for you? Its been really frustrating..his chelsea career just never took off did it ?

Ive watched alot of clips of mata the past few days and seen him in a couple of games last year.i just think he will somehow be wasted out on the wing.i could be completely wrong and hope I am if thats where he ends up playing but our midfield is missing that killer pass and I think if mata plays there we will see the benefits straight away.

ha the video definitly put me in my place.maybe I never got over his initial poor form and have never taking a liking to him.However I still think mata should play in instead of him if available and fit for the norwich game

ramires:has a poor first touch and cant pass any longer than 5 yards lots of running around making him look good in my opinion. A crafty midfield player with an eye for a killer pass and a goal is what we need i.e juan mata

Im trying to think where mata will fit into the team.he should definitly start but where? I would have him in a midfield 3 with lampard and mikel for the moment.dont think ramires is up to much and malouda and sturridge should definitly take the wingers postions
