If Sturridge is good at anything it is a Striker. He is not a winger and will never be as he is selfish and can't pass/cross. Have you not seen the last season's perforamnces? Ramires can easily move in the middle to substitute Frank who is getting older and has to be phased out to a more back-up role. Marin is nowhere near starting 11 quality (opinion rather than fact but should prove correct after a few games). Enough said.

I think it will be Mikel and Ramires holding if we get Hulk. I can see Lampard as a replacement for Mata and Ramires in some games and as a sub every other game. Obviously, the manager has to take the decision but I think both Ramires and Mata are currently higher up in the ranking than Lampz. Lampz just won everything in his career (bar anything with England but Chelsea can't fix that) so he should be more content with a more back-up role than before and leave it to the "youngsters". Forget about playing without Mikel if we have Torres, Mata, Hulk and Hazard in the team - someone needs to defend and I can see Ramires and Mikel being Barry and Yaya (De Jong) for sh*tty this season - bossing the midfield, winning the ball and distributing it to the most intimitading offensive 4 in the world alongside Real Madrid and Man City.

KdB will be sensational if he is given a chance. I am willing to bet anything after I've seen him play a few times.

Anyone know if Hazard is any good at free kicks? We still have only Lampard (who I imagine won't play every game) and Mata, who is not brilliant, but just about OK at it. (Cause Hulk is good at that, too...)

KdB is not a right winger anyway. We don't have such a player. Mata, Marin and Hazard are all left or central AMs. Sturridge is terrible on the right and must leave the squad IMO as we already have a decent back-up up front in Lukaku. The only right-minded midfielder we have is Ramires but he is not what I'd call a winger, more an MRC.

Nothing on next season. He was loaned back to finish this season and played central midfielder mostly. But nothing on next season. Next manager will decide.

If you compare Sturridge quality to Hulk quality, you need to watch more football. Sturridge will not play for Chelsea next season if RDM stays as manager. Mark my words. He is as sick of him as we are. ST??? Torres, Lukaku? What are they? Centre Backs?

Mata is a VERY NICE guy. I am sure he wouldn't mind switching from 10 to 11 if that would mean Chelsea will improve and he will play alongside one of the hottest talents in Europe. I am sure they won't change Mata's number without asking him but I am know Mata is smart and nice enough to do it if it is good for the atmosphere in team. Time will tell, let's sign him first

Don't forget someone can be sold (Malouda quite possibly and if someone is eager to bid for Essien), for example. That would free up more space.

Don't forget he had to wait until CL final as we could have been easily out of it if we didn't win that match. I think it was reasonable for him to wait and evaluate. The problem is that he was quite noisy about it quite early. If he kept a bit quiter early on, I think people would have appreciated him more.

It's not like No 11 is terrible you know? Most players would love to wear No 11 at Chelsea, the European Champion. I don't care too much tbh but it is an odd situation as we have two typical No 10s who want to play as No 10 and wear No 10 if Hazard comes.

I really like Romeu and I am not sure why he didn't get more playing time 2nd half of the season. He was easily our best player for a couple of months in the autumn. I want to see him seriously compete with Mikel for starting 11 place. He has the potential I believe.

Goal.com (I know) reported 32m. All figures I've seen are around 30m, I guess that's established as all three were prepared to pay it. The personal contract is anyone's guess and may easily remain such even if the transfer is officially announced.

From what I've seen with my eyes (4-5 games of Lille last two seasons) he is easily worth it that much.
