Between 86 and the mid 90s they had a few lunatics following them who came from Hackney and Finsbury park but i dont think the numbers amounted to enough for them to be considered a heavy firm. One of them did take a coach load of Sheff Utd just outside Finsbury Park station on his own though which according to a few people i know was one of the nuttiest things they ever saw.

Does it really matter how much we spend on Rooney? I really dont get this thing where i read other members batting prices around with a limit on how much Chelsea should spend on Rooney or whoever else the media are talking about for us. We have an owner who likes to spend money so he can boast to his fellow Zillionaire buddies that not only does he own the worlds biggest yacht but also a squad of footballers that are quite tasty aswell. We are in a semi unique position where we are owned by one person who likes to solve problems with money, we spent decades making do with has beens and unknowns and i for one will revel in our owner spending the big bucks if thats what he sees fit to do. Will Rooney be a hit? Yes i truly think he will, i dont think he understands the word fail, under perform at times maybe but the kid is a winner and he will bring some good old fashioned English aggression to our front line. I guarantee that he will not be a Flop. And yes i know im going out on a limb with that statement but i am confident.

If you'd have offered me back to back wins when stood in the shed cold as f**k in the late 80s id have married you if you was female or made you my hero if male. But a Trophy like a real piece of Silverware to boast about at school the following day i honestly cant express what that would have meant to me back then. I remember watching a coach leave my estate to go to the Full members cup final against Man City in Nineteen Eighty Whenever and the thought of Chelsea playing at Wembley for a trophy amazed me. I stayed glued to the news on TV all throughout that day waiting and hoping for an update but it wasnt an important enough competition for the media to be interested in, when the coach arrived back in South London that evening and i found out that we had won i was bursting with pride and at school the following day there was not a Dipper Supporter alive who could have taken from me what i was feeling that morning. The young supporters these days have been blessed and lucky for them take it for granted that we are a trophy winning team.

I could be wrong here but i think the chance of a forum member selling you a ticket that they have had to buy in their own name without knowing anything about you is very slim. However thats not to say that i dont wish you luck.

Sounds like my childhood aswell. My part of South London were full of kids supporting The Dippers or Le Arse throw into the mix a few y*ds and a sudden influx of Millwall when they reached Div 1 in the late 80s aswell but mainly it was Dippers everywhere. I wonder if those kids still supported them when they grew up.
