Dont get me wrong I'm a big Torres fan but if hes not up to scratch or gets injured next season and assuming we dont make any new signings, do you think we'll have problems ? Lukaku - Seems like a great guy on and off the pitch and is a good prospect for the future but lets face it at this present time he isnt going to be the prolific forward of the European Champs and smash it at the highest level, not even close. Sturridge - Has the ability but he is not a team player and for some reason I always get the impression he doesnt really love the club, just seems out to impress for personal gain.Oscar/Hazard/Mata are brilliant give & go players I cant picture Danny picking up the ball off one of them and then looking to return it if they pick up good positions or make great runs, hopefully im wrong. And thats it ? Weve made a big investment on creative midfielders I just hope we've got the fire power to finish, I mean after all we are the Champions of Europe. I'd like to see an agressive powerfull centre forward come in to boost our options. Osgood, Tambling, Hasselbaink, Zola, Drogba are just a few to mention, we've had some special forwards at the club, just feels like now we're kind of going backwards in that department, when after winning the CL we should be going forward and teams should be sh*tting themselves over our strike force . What do you guys think ?

Sky Sports have been good to us ! A good start against Wigan is a must. This would be my starting eleven. The reason I picked Luiz over Cahill : I agree Cahill is a more reliable player defensively but everytime Luiz plays hes seems to venture forward and make something happen when we're looking a bit flat. Also it feels like Terry and Cahill are a bit similiar when playing from the back, Luiz adds a bit more agility, speed and looks more comfortable on the ball than anyone else we have in that position. In other words the partnership is more balanced. . ....................................Torres..................................... .... Hazard ....................................................Ramires ....................Essien................Lampard....................... ....................................Mikel.......................................... Cole............... Terry................ Luiz............. Ivanovic.... . ...................................Cech............................................ Subs : Marin, Cahill, Turnbull, Mireles, Bertrand Either Oscar/Mata would def be in there if they were available. Cant wait for the season to kick off !

The glow will be there forever. It felt like the perfect end of an era for CFC before going into a new one.Robbie did a great job but I cant help but think that the special ones earlier influence on team spirit/togetherness, organization and defensive work had something to do with us winning the CL. It was Drogba's destiny to equalize and then bury the winning penalty. For me another memorable moment of the CL that will stick forever was Ramirez's finish vs Barcelona gave the club a lot of confidence and to finish with that kind of composure against the run of play against Barca, phenomenal !

Overall yh it was a bit dissapointing but there were a few positives. Some good quick 1st time passing through the middle, Hazard looking like he doesnt need much time to adapt, Sam Hutchinson's heroic slide tackle followed by another. In general we did lack in the final third but we obv have Mata away Torres only playing 30mins and Oscar yet to get involved combined with trying a new style of play which wont be perfected over 2 or 3 pre seaon games. Also the fact that we lacked in the final third which Robbie admitted post match means emphasis in training will be directed towards improving that part of our game so hopefully its an early wake up call. Nothing to worry about yet though I doubt well be seeing Mireles in an advanced role behind Lukaku much this season.
