Yh he did play against wolves , looked lively and set up a chance for Torres which should have been a goal. He'll play some part this season if he stays fit. Anyone know what's happening with Sturridge ? Is it likely that hell be available for our next game ?

Ashley Cole was incredible. Cleared one off the line, the tackle he made which prevented another and his general play was immense yet again.

Away from home the blues visit the Emirates stadium...an in form arsenal await. Pundits nation wide heap praise on Carzola , Arteta . The same pundits claim Robbie will go for the more experienced option of frank and play reserved . Not only does Robbie start with Oscar , Mata and Hazard but sets up with Rambo in his natural position leaving frank out. Not only did we see a solid team performance ,we saw positive preassured and large moments of the blues trying to enforce their own game. Wenger and some pundits say it was chelsea's aeriel attack, if you ask me Torres curling his foot around a player to volley one home was way under rated. If RVP did the same it would be goal of the month. Great team selection , great Passion and attitude from the players and glimpses of Chels working the ball. Mata and Torres link up play is starting to blossom.

Azpilicueta looked solid . Agile, a lot of pace , solid defensively , good work rate, reminds me of Lahm . Ramires was up and down the pitch with energy to spare. Mata was cutting balls through that wolves defence with ease. Oscar was lively . Romeu really stood out for me ,fair enough the opposition were weak but he still looked more responsive and quicker moving the ball forward than Mikel. Made some really clean tackles aswell. Torres really should have buried that pass from Marin but good header and link up play for Mata's goal.Bertrand looks so focused every minute he plays. So much talent at Chelsea at the moment , whether we win trophies or not this season , the club gave definatly taken a step in the right direction.

Pretty much the same as Davey but Luiz 7 & Terry 6 thought Luiz looked much sharper than Terry tonight. And Oscar Id give him a 9 . The sky sports pundits were talking trash. He struck the 1st one sweet even if it did get a deflection he took the chance. He did intend the skill to completely disregard one of the worlds greatest midfielders and then to spin and bury it top corner. To near enough mark Pirlo out of the 1st half. He was a menace off the ball hounding opp players . Playing clever passes and all within 70 mins on his home debut start in the C L. That's gotta be worth a 9 !

Oh and correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Hazard grab another assist for Oscars 1st. What is that like 7/8 assists in 6 games. Fireee

Good game , brilliant debut for Oscar, moments of encouraging play from Chelsea. Juve are a top top side and I think by the way we played at times and by going 2 0 up against the best defence in Italy we showed Europe we are still a force to be reckoned with especially with such a new team and style . Mikel knew he was at fault he looked depressed after the game which is a shame because I actually thought he put a decent shift in,his errors just always end up being the most costly. Ashley Cole ,the guy never dissapoints .Lampard just looks washed up seriously needs sorting. I think Hullit hit the nail on the head by saying Chelsea look like they play with ten men when Torres is on I don't wanna jump on the bandwagon but I really don't know what to think of him sometimes. Hes scored a few this season but every time he's on the ball (rarely) it feels like its a coin flip to whether he does something useful. On the other hand Boy o boy if Chelsea can get Hazard ,Ramires, Oscar and Mata on the pitch at the same time linking up with the addition of an on form goal machine It will be a very bright future. All in all 1st in the league , a valuable point vs Juve ,Hazard and Oscar looking full of potential. Glimpses of some sexy football and brill goals. Would I like to see a more resilient Chelsea ? Of course but It's been a nice start and now is the time to carry on pushing, get this midfield balance right , tighten up defensively and OWN THIS sh*t ! (Completely off the topic but what's happened to Marin? Still injured ? I heard he was injury prone before he joined but dammm I wonder if he's played 5 consecutive games without injury)

Interesting how Essien starts for Madrid . I thought he looked Sharp in pre season ,should have kept him. I bet he dominates midfield tonight !

Just found this beauty . Bear in mind its from his last 2 games but still : - Ryan Betrand is doing all he can to grasp his first team opportunities with both hands. He’s been Chelsea’s hardest worker in their last two Premier League matches running for 5.67 and 6.43 miles respectively.

You guys should keep this up Id always be checking this thread for stats. I'd like to see pass completion and interceptions,tackles.Ive got a question for you guys though. Who's ran the most yards for Chelsea this season so far. Is it possible to get those kind of stats ?

Firstly I'm thrilled at the start we've had so far and the recent success of Chelsea football club.Despite this, in my opinion these have been my honest thoughts on team selection. 1. Ramires is wasted on the right ,as we saw against qpr as soon as he moved into a more central role he looked a beast . 2.We are sleeping on one of the most talented players in the country in Oscar. Ok he is young but he's more than ready ,I'm itching for this guy to get a start. You don't wear a number 10 shirt for Brazil for no reason. 3.Say what you like about Danny sturridge but the guy looks a constant threat in the small amount of minutes he's played . Torres has bagged a few goals but why not rotate for a game and see how Danny gets on. Or is the mighty Torres too much of a big name to leave out ? 4. Moses looked really positive, direct and more natural on that side than any other player we have. I would like to see him start on the right with Ramires central. 5.Frank Lampard . I've been watching him real close so far this season. What on earth is he offering the team in his current role. He seems to have become shy of the ball, sloppy in possesion . We are getting results but to secure long term Success in the league we need the team to play in harmony. Forget the names , transfer fees and what not id like to see an 11 that compliment eachother in a recognised shape . Am I alone here or are you guys feeling this too. This would be my team . Cech, Cole,Terry,Luiz,Branna,Ramires,Oscar,Hazard,Mata,Hazard,Sturridge.

Hey did you guys notice when Moses came on and Rambo went more central his performance improvred drastically he was all over place in the last 20 mins, him and Mikel were working well together . For me franks serving no purpose I can't see why Ramires or Oscar aren't starting in s central role. Great performance from Cole and Luiz both solid today .

I thought the same Oscar, Sturridge ,Bertrand our subs would probably walk into most PL teams starting 11 no problem. The squad looks real strong !

What a game. I thought we were brill. Their equalizer was a perfect early cross and amazing header I wouldn't blame Cahill and you won't see that kind of error again from Cech any time soon so I wouldnt worry about defensive issues. We looked sharper in possession, more dominant in possession, quicker build up play,Hazard was unbelievable ,not just skilled but also very technical and proved he's more interested in Chelsea winning than individual glory (Sturridge take note). There was a great level of urgency in the 2nd half to make sure we got 3 points. Come on guys our footballs progressing, Hazards tearing the PL so far , 2 goals in 3 games for Torres ,Marin still to come back. Oscar's gradually intergrating ,really enjoyed the match can't wait for Newcastle. Fair enough it was Reading but there was a clear difference in how we set about this game and I think we are seeing glimpses of an exciting Chelsea to come. Still I see fans picking at individuals like Branna : I thought he was decent worked hard and 2 goals in two games. Mikel : thought he was a beast today and made some vital interceptions in both games Frank : I admit did look a bit off the pace but he's growing into it game by game ,hell get there always does, plus put two pens away for us no problem. I guess my point is enjoy it to the max because this seasons gonna be a hell of a ride for the blues. Come on Chelsea get the f*ck in there !

Matas a young lad Yh he had a long season but he barely played in the euros, got knocked out early in the Olympics , its a fresh season and he wants to play. I don't know why everyones worried like he's gonna fall asleep on the pitch . He's well payed a proff footballer . Jeez my mums a nurse she ain't had a holiday in nearly 2 years works 6 days a week I don't see no one complaining about her not having a break . Seriously hell be ok.

When the special 1 was with us he made sure he took a couple of Porto players with him. That must've been his selection rather than the boards so I don't know I think the manager should have a big part to play in transfers saying that I'm not sure anyone we've signed with RDM has been his pick.

All these comments about Hazard diving what game were you lot watching , from my view he was getting hacked to pieces. Great for Bertrand to be involved again he looks so safe in possession for a young player. Oscar looked like he was ready to run the midfield demanding the ball from everwhere some great runs and a killer ball to Torres all in 30 mins. Id love to see him start.There was a few occasions where I thought a def counter was on only for Mikel to slow down the fluency and allow Wigan to re shape. I'm happy overall however I agree with some of you about the long balls. Seriously what's going on there ? Luiz was good today aswell seems like he's guaranteed at least once in every game to charge from the back and deliver a killer pass . For me we have to find a way to balance hazard Mata and Oscar in the same midfield then were good to go. One last thing ...I was wondering whether Robbie felt preassured to keep Torres on sure It's good to give him 90 mins but I would've like to see Danny come on to tear up the tired Wigan defence and link up with Oscar. Can't wait for Reading , Come on Chels.

He's def gotta have a one year extension Franks still got a lot left in his tank.AVB left him out and people were saying he's too old bla bla... People seem to think a player just suddenly loses it one day hitting 33 or 34.It's bs Scholes proved it,Giggs ,Maldini, Nesta,Seedorf ,Pirlo Beckham's still got it, like Frank these are intelligent players ,even playing in a deeper role he manages to time runs into the box . He's a complete team player works hard clean tackler , the more he plays the better he performs. Id be shocked Frank doesn't get 10 15 goals this season.

Ryan Bertrand isn't just the future of Chelsea he isn't just a lad with potential. He's the present and doesn't dissapoint when given the chance. He did well to chase Dannys shot looked confident and passionate to turn around the score line. There's a real selection headache now. All of these big name signings yet Ryan Bertrand and Sturridge were some of the few positives from the game

That is actually a really good point. The main man collecting the ball from deep is often doing so with his back to play. P L teams won't allow you time on the ball. We need a dominant beast back there spraying balls left right and centre. Pirlo, Seedorf even Toure that type of complete midfielder player confident and safe all over the park. The question for me is why can't our managerial staff/ coaches see this. I'm a big fan of Mikel but you've got this one spot on. It feels like were missing a link in the middle of the park connecting the play with our forwards . Which sounds ridiculous considering how many midfield players weve purchased. Oscar ,Mata ,Hazard all amounts to nothing if we have no possession.

Id agree with most of this bar Terry and Mikel. Terrys positional sense ,clearances and overall play from the back was def not up to his standards 7 is way off . He kept coming out of position leaving gaps for Tevez to run into. Mikel on the other hand had an off game but 2 I wouldnt go that far lol . He only stood out because he got caught in possesion in a dangerous area . Nearly every Chelsea outfield player was wastefull with the ball don't think anyone deserves a special mention.
