What do you think the team will be and who is going? I just booked my ticket.

Cech, Ivan, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Marin, Hazard, Ramires, Torres.

Had Mata originally instead of Marin but forgot about Olympics, which would also rule out any possible Oscar/Hulk involvement. The "surprise" could be Essien for Mikel.

I believe RDM should play the team he has in mind for the prem starting 11...See how they gel against a good man city side..Use as many of the subs as permitted, then conclude on who will play against wigan...It seems i have got my ticket online..YYYAAAHHHHOOOOOOO ::ChELSeAFaN::

I just went to try my luck at buying a ticket - it flew through, no problems. Members are down to 8 loyalty points at the moment

Got my ticket booked a few days ago.

Glad we've got the Holte end, should be able to make a racket with so many bundled into one end of the ground.

As for the line up - I'd expect Robbie to have a rough idea by then who he wants to face Wigan. We have a tough first week with Reading midweek and then Newcastle. This may be a factor with who he decides to start against Man City.

are you a member? they are still on sale on the official site

Kev

No need for that.

Reading and this game both on general sale now, seems a bit strange.

And Newcastle at home. So our face off with the domestic champions and opening 2 home games have so far failed to sell out and just off the back of winning the European Cup and signing some exciting new players.

Not sure what would have happened if we'd moved into a 60'000 seater at Battersea for the start of this season. Is a 60'000 capacity 10'000 seats too many? Or is it just the cost of tickets at fault?

Newcastle game is general sale too? Not sure what's going on, we hardly had any premier league games on general last season from what I can remember. Thought they would be in high demand after last season.

Disappointing, but not entirely surprising. As much as the likes of the scousers and spurs, etc.. like to take the piss out of our support, you have to admit we don't have the same level as the other top clubs around us. This is why I'm quite opposed to a 60,000+ stadium because it#s going to be embarrasing when they can't fill it. They'll end up either shoving a load of extra corporates in there or increasing the prices to make up for low attendance.

We need another 5-10 years of success I think before we can start to catch up with some of the better supported clubs. In terms of success we're still quite young
