ChelseaVeteran
Dont get me wrong I'm a big Torres fan but if hes not up to scratch or gets injured next season and assuming we dont make any new signings, do you think we'll have problems ? Lukaku - Seems like a great guy on and off the pitch and is a good prospect for the future but lets face it at this present time he isnt going to be the prolific forward of the European Champs and smash it at the highest level, not even close. Sturridge - Has the ability but he is not a team player and for some reason I always get the impression he doesnt really love the club, just seems out to impress for personal gain.Oscar/Hazard/Mata are brilliant give & go players I cant picture Danny picking up the ball off one of them and then looking to return it if they pick up good positions or make great runs, hopefully im wrong. And thats it ? Weve made a big investment on creative midfielders I just hope we've got the fire power to finish, I mean after all we are the Champions of Europe. I'd like to see an agressive powerfull centre forward come in to boost our options. Osgood, Tambling, Hasselbaink, Zola, Drogba are just a few to mention, we've had some special forwards at the club, just feels like now we're kind of going backwards in that department, when after winning the CL we should be going forward and teams should be sh*tting themselves over our strike force . What do you guys think ?
Fearnley
I think for now we can let it wait until January and better assess the situation then...I think the team we have now is a strikers wet dream if put together properly so we should show some faith in Torres and if he doesn't deliver then it's the chopping block
Zeta
I tihnk we defintely need more than Torres and Sturridge. As much as I obviuously hope Torres starts scoring, it's been a year and a half... So I won't be surprised if he still struggles. Sturridge has the potential to be a good ST, but needs to knuckle down a bit more and be more of a team player (know when to pass and when to shoot, not always dribble and shoot himself). It all depends on how they do up till Janurary really. If we're still struggling for goals, then obviously we need to bring someone in who can get them, and that may mean someone like Torres making way if he's still not up to scratch. Greg_cfc_4life
Hopefully Oscar tells Neymar to go to Chelsea. Their understanding is brilliant for Brazil. Edited July 29, 2012 by Greg_cfc_4life
The Moos
I think Lukaku will go on loan so that would leave us Torres and Sturridge. No question about his will be number one - Torres. Sturridge will be the backup. While that's not bad, we do need a new Drogba. Cavani would be my choice, but he seems to be staying in Napoli. Maksimov
...we do need a new Drogba. I don't believe such a player exists.

The Moos
I don't believe such a player exists. You spotted the difficult aspect I see. Well, we could do with a Drogba-esque player. That sounds a bit better

VG
Not much to add, except I enjoyed seeing Jimmy Floyd's name up top. Although even if, say, a 26 year old Hasselbaink was available right now I wouldn't want to sign him with the team we've got now...
Uno
I dont think Robbie rates Studge very much. A shame really because we all saw what he did for Bolton when played right, with the players we have he could bang in 20+ goals for us. we all know my feelings on Torres so no need to go over old ground.
