Watching the quarter final from 1970 against QPR on Chelsea TV right now. Pitch is in a right state (as seemed to be the case in all games back then). Strange to see Venables and Bridges playing for QPR

I caught that too. Some of the tackling was a bit tasty - almost Scholes like you might say!

I particularly liked the top notch graphics they used and Brian Moore's excitement when some was booked. not a yellow card in sight :o

I was priveleged enough to be at that game, great match! Come to think of it, the only games I missed in that cup run were the replay away at Burnley, and the Wembley final. Gutted or what? Still, made up for it by getting to OT for the replay - woo-hoo!

Apart from Ossie's hat-trick, my main memory of the game was the ref telling Rodney Marsh to stop cheating and get on with it after an incident with Chopper ;)

I've still got the highlights of the game, think I'll put them up on YouTube again.

Ha, they did indeed show that incident between Chopper and Marsh. Marsh caught Chopper a bit late. Ron gets up dusts himself down and walks into Marsh who goes down like a sack of potatoes. Great to see how the ref dealt with it and no surprise to see Marsh eventually join the well known divers of the time that were Manchester City, especially one Franny Lee.
