I've read, and re-read the Mirror and the Sun today to make sure I wasn't seeing things but no, I was seeing correctly. According to the player ratings for Englands game against the Kazaks the Mirror had Frank Lampard down as MOM whilst the Sun had JT. Has the world gone mad? Did they not notice their fave Stevie was playing? I'm astounded.

I listened to the game on 5Live, and it was the usual Gerrard/Rooney love-in. No matter what happened during the game, the commentators somehow brought those two into it, made me feel physically sick.

Yeah, I've got to admit he was mightily pissed off that night - though of course he blamed it on the incompetence of the ref rather than UEFA corruption - well, it is the BBC.
