I don't know if Chelsea demanded it or if the league demanded it, but I heard this morning on the radio that several rules were put in place after Cech's injury, including an ambulance on site, reserved solely for the use of injured players.

Yes, if I remember correctly Mourinho was not happy at all when it took 30 odd minutes for the ambulance to come when Cech got injured and he made complaints about it and since then an ambulance have to be stationed at the ground including 2 paramedics pitchside.

Yep, Jose got hammered for saying it too. Yet the FA realised he was right and made it compulsory.

Interesting. As you say, José has been slated in the press ever since for his comments, so I look forward to some retrospective praise for his complaints back then. (And if I hold my breath while waiting for it I might need resuscitation.)
