In the last six months or so the Guardian chalkboards service (on which you could check out loads of cool in-game data like positioning, passes, tackles, interceptions, etc.) has either been taken down or has become a pay feature. I was considering starting a football blog and I'd need a similar statistical database in order to reference my ideas. Does anyone know how I can access it or a similar free service?

I've read about the FourFourTwo one which seems to be popular nowadays, and I don't necessarily mind paying the £3 or so for it, but ideally I'd exhaust the free options first. Cheers.
