If he'd tried to rejuvenate his playing career maybe he could have scored a job as a pundit or commentator, instead he's selling his sob story to papers.

 

Money clearly means a lot to him, he obviously likes a good spend up and rather than actually play football he was content to just milk a decent contract and a sitting around doing nothing. 

 

Now he's got nothing and has crawled out of the woodwork looking for the sport he turned his back on to give him another pay day.
